Samsonov will be the starter before Christmas. Anderson got hurt before the playoffs. Then he was ANDERSEN to play after the first round. HE said he wasn't ready to play. He pulled the same thing in Toronto. He was cleared and didn't wan't to play. He has a problem somewhere. Either mental or some unknown physical issue.

Matthews had the most points in the series out of any player on both teams and marner was tied for 2nd with Kucherov. Rielly had 6pts, one behind Hedman.
Kucherov -5. Point -6. Hedman -2.
Matthews +1. Marner +3. Rielly even.

Bob is an old man holding on to old narratives. The series was lost the same way it has been for years in that our bottom six has been in flux forever, has no identity, and gets eaten alive. It doesn't help when parts of that already subpar bottom six then get suspended (clifford) or outright benched to idiocy (simmonds). THAT'S what needs to change. We lose to players like Nick Paul and Corey Perry not Kucherov and Point. We'll see if the new signings and exits from much of the bottom six changes that.

I'm tired of people blaming goalies. It is simple, a goalie is supposed to stop the puck…that is it. Rebounds are for the 'D'. Shots at the goalie should be low-percentage shots that are dictated by the avenues that the 'D' provide; ie. you push the offense to the outside. The trailing offensive players must collect the garbage and prevent shooters form shooting in the slot. Finally, you have to clear the opposition from in front of your own net! We don't do any of those things!!!!!
Sure! There are times when Leaf goalies have let in some real dogs, goals they want back but anyone blaming goalies for not getting past the first round, is a moron. You can let in twenty a game, it is irrelative if your top guys are not scoring.
The Leafs need to maintain high and consistent scoring in the playoffs. You need to be tough and not let people take advantage of players. The goalies need to play better, but to think that they are the reason for losing, is horseshit.
You're right, the leafs didn't lose because of Campbell but they could've won had he played well. He had a a sub .890 save % in that round vs the lightning. Sub .900 is unacceptable in the playoffs.
