Histoire via: FanSided

Man this rivalry was amazing
Osgood's not goin' ov…yea, yea he is, OH YEAH, HOLY JUMPIN!
I like how the commentators turned into boxing commentators
My first experience of watching a hockey game being from the U.K. I remember the cameraman zooming out as Roy and Osgood skated towards each other. This game got me hooked on ice hockey.
Gary Bettman would have you believe the fans don't want this stuff. Oh yeah, just listen to this crowd.
In 90's ref's was much better.
Draw
THIS IS WHAT THEY GET FOR HAVING THEIR FANS THROW INNOCENT OCTOPUSES ONTO THE RINK IN DETROIT IN THE PAST!! #REDWINGSSUCK
#AVS4LYF
Best rivalry all time. Back when big hits didn’t cause a fight and teams had enforcers to defend players instead of refs.
0:48 I love the ref, there….he's just thinking, eh, let em go. lol
2:30 Ozzy, Ozzy
I was living in Denver at the time. From STL. Detroit were ALWAYS assholes, playin dirty. It almost feels like wrestling but I believe then and now – that shit was real.
Was this the one when they threw their gloves down at their own goals, met at mid ice, and started going at it?
1:20 and beyond. The great Darren Pang
torronto maple leafs vs boston bruins fight
GOD I MISS these days!!
I rember this i was 5 years old when my dad toke me to this game
I'm pretty sure to be a hockey commentator back then you also had to minor in wrestling as well. Fuck these were the good days.
I watched this video exactly 25 years after it happend.
I miss this type of hockey. I can't believe the idiots in charge ruined it. I mean, how could you not want this to be a part of the game. Skill, physicality, fighting, rivalries, bad blood! Hockey once had it all!!!
Two goalies going at it. Now I've seen it all.
Like all true Red Wing fans- I hated Roy. This was one of the most exciting sports moments I’ve ever seen.
Probably the greatest rivalry in hockey until the watered down, pussy-made, Crosby era started. Colorado never really could top the Wings tho.
Back when the refs just let them brawl and enjoyed it like the fans 💪💪💪
Both Vernon and Ozzie—best goalies that took down Roy!!!
Just got into hockey recently. I have to say from a newbie fan perspective Roy won this one. Takedown was nice by osgood, but Roy scored with the punches. If this was UFC Roy gets split decision.
roy won that fight. but i was truly blessed to this rivalry this is the taarhells cvs duke the broncos vs raiders yankees vs red socks
you don't see hockey like this anymore
This is on ESPN now
Can we get a Gracie Breakdown of this? Lol.
The NFL should let DBs v WRs, RB&TE v LB, and Oline v Dline handle their beef like this instead of Twitter beefs.
God I love how the refs are like…let em go boys and have them get it out of the system. In today's NHL, you literally have linesman taking punches to the face in attempts to break up scrums before they even can get going and it forces issues to boil over into other dirty plays.
Osgood didn't win that fight.
Anybody else watching this because of the 30 for 30 documentary?
Roy was always a bully he picked on smaller players and of course his wife too
OZZY! OZZY! OZZY!
Old joke: it's one thing to go to a hockey game and see a fight break out, but going to the fights and see a hockey game break out? 😳
Check out the ref at :54…..Hahaha!!! He’s thinking can we just get all this bear hugging over with!
Roy !!!!!!!!!!
Roy was starvin' Marvin!
this is why I RESPECT hockey 😗😈
Osgood win!!!))
Go Colorado Avalanche!
Go Colorado Avalanche!
Osgood won
Back when refs let the men fight. Now all they do is ruin everything
