Boston has finally struck gold in this series. Their stars lead the way, backed up by a solid outing by goaltender Jeremy Swayman. Granted, the Canes were forced to their third-string goaltender but he did what he could for his services.
Good win but still disappointing score only 4-2. Bruins need to step up their game or they won’t make it. The Canes still excels over the Bruins in finishing quality and gameplay. They seem more hungry. I wish to see the same hunger from the bruins very soon
There's always a game that is a turning point…lots of hockey left in this series but I can see Canes being down 3-2 coming back to Boston. After years of heart-breaking playoff losses to the Habs (24 of them) The Bruins are in some ways built like the Habs of the 70's albeit not as free wheeling. There will never be a team like the 70's Habs but it was also a different era of hockey. Bruins have managed to be one of the most consistent franchise since a long 8 year playoff drought ended in 1968.
They might still be down 2 games to 1, but that win just changed this series. I have a feeling the momentum they got from this win, is gonna be bad news for the Canes.
As unlikely as I think a Boston win in this series is. They were down 2 games to zero in the Stanley Cup finals against the President trophy winning Vancouver Canucks in 2011. I know it's a different roster, I know the Canes are very good, but stranger things have happened. I was at the pivotal game 3 when the Bs lost Horton. Probably their best goal scorer. Bergeron and Marchand remember what happened after that. Just sayin'.
Bruins played a lot better after Charlie Coyle got that shorty. They have their issues on defense and at center but, definitely more competitive against the Hurricanes in this game. Hurricanes still are really good but if Swaywmn can play even better than that second goal he allowed in (P.U. stinky) this series will be better for it.
What is the point of the stupid on screen captions? They are way too late and they make no sense at all. Who are they benefitting? Otherwise great fun watching these from Europe.. Excellent image quality.
