  1. I don't know why that everybody hates the Philadelphia Flyers in Orange everybody likes the moon orange classic Orange it's kind of cool it's kind of cool guys say the saying I don't hate it but I do

  2. God bless Kate Smith! And all you looney liberals that think she doesn't belong as a part of the team can go FUCK YOURSELVES!!
Ed Snider would have NEVER allowed her statue to be removed!

  3. 2021…THIS SEASON..BRING BACK THE BULLIES…I REALLY MISS THOSE MEN..YOU WIN SOME/YOU LOOSE SOME…THE SEASON GOES ON…

  5. Oh the memories! First off, we had lived in Somerdale NJ early 70's. We had neighbors like Bill Barber, Bob Kelly and a few others. These guys were like salt of the earth. I remember going with my dad to Rexy's Bar and there they were; The Broad Street Bullies. I had so many run in's with the boys. I remember when Hound opened his new liquor store in Deptford; he was grinning from ear to ear. They LOVED living in South Jersey. I recall a lunch at Somerdale Diner and sitting one table from Brindamour and Hitchcock. We didn't fawn over them. Most of us just wanted to ask them if the family was okay or how they like going down to the shore, shit like that. In Wildwood, I would always run into Bernie at the Wawa; what a guy. We would just shoot the shit and I asked him if his goalie stick had a barnacle remover; he loves his boat.

Philly is where you have a fist fight, one on one and you never back down. We wear our heart on our sleeves. If we have something in mind, we just blurt it out. We embraced the Flyers because they were very much like us. The heated rivalries were so awesome. I remember being at the Spectrum for a game and there would be some New Yorker there with his Rangers jersey on. Okay, no problem, but don't get all stupid and show off around us in our Flyers jerseys. Respect. Lemieux, Messier, Domi, Gretsky. Deep down, we hated other teams but certain players were special. And finally, the all time greatest is when the Flyers beat the living shit out of the Russians. For us it was like winning the Super Bowl or another Stanley Cup. My team humiliated that vaunted Russian team and for one game, every hockey fan in North America was a Flyers fan.

  6. The Philadelphia Flyers beating the Russians in 1976 was one of the greatest moments in NHL History. When they played this game I was the biggest Philadelphia Flyer fan and so was every other American & the entire country of Canada. I was so proud of them and still are. I was only 12 years old at the time and not a Hockey fan but their victory in this game made me one. RIP Rick MacLeish!!!

  7. Peter Forsberg NHL PPG 1994-2011 1.250 QUE/COL 1994-2004 PPG 1.278 Eric Lindros 1992-2007 NHL PPG 1.138 PHI 1992-2000 PPG 1.356 PHI/NYR PPG 1992-2002 1.312 Bobby Clarke PHI 1969-1984 PPG 1.058 1971-1980 PPG 1.190

While Bobby Clarke is considered the best player ever to don the orange and black jersey and in his nine year prime, he was arguably the best player in hockey second only to the great Bobby Orr in the 1970's. Fast forward to the 1990's and in the 8-year period from 1992 to 2000, Lindros despite the injuries and concussions, was obviously a better player if you want to consider the PPG average. Yes Lindros didn't have a decent goaltender, and the defense was shaky at best, but as a player, LIndros was just a better player during his prime than even Forsberg despite Forsberg winning two Stanley Cups and Forsberg having more success in the international competitions than Lindros, which is another topic.

In the NHL Lindros according to the PPG especially during his prime years in PHI had 1.356 PPG and even with the NYR still was able to maintain his PPG to 1.312. It was later in his career when the PPG average shifted downward and even then he still maintains an overall NHL PPG average of 1.138. While it's not higher than Forsberg's average, it's still higher than Clarke's, who had more help with Bernie Parent in the net, and the most feared goon squad during their time (Schultz, Kelly, Crisp, and Dupont). Also, Lindros had more hat tricks with the Flyers (11 with PHI and 13 career) than Clarke's entire career (5).

All I'm saying is that had Lindros been mostly healthy and had Lindros had a better goaltender and even enforcers, I'm pretty sure he would've had a much higher PPG average. As of this writing, only Gretzky, Lemieux, Bossy, Orr had higher PPG average than Lindros and even the new kid from EDM, McDavid. Once again, Clarke may be considered the best player on the Flyers, but during his time on the ice, Lindros was better in his eight years with PHI than Clarke was during his prime from 1971-1980 and especially in his career!!! And he had more hat tricks in his career (11 with the Flyers and 13 total) over Clarke (5) and in the 1994-95 season, had Lindros had 1 more point, he would've been the first Flyer to win the Art Ross Trophy, but Jagr beat him by most goals scored.

  8. Ed Snider ruined this team. His backward way of thinking by not allowing European players on his club. You would've thought getting swept by the dominant Russian Red Wings wouldve opened his eyes.He kept bringing back old flyers he just let go. He gave his idiot son the reins to this club. Holmgren is the poster child for incompetence. He coached 8 seasons and never had a a winning record. So he gets promoted to GM and quickly makes many bad decisions. So he gets promoted yet again and continues to ruin this club to this day.

  9. BOBBY CLARK IS A GOOD LOOKING GUY BUT HE ALWAYS LOOKED SO FREAKY CUZ HE NEVER WORE HIS TEETH. I NEVER REALLY KNEW WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE UNTIL NOW. I DON'T KNOW WHY. I'LL BET YOU JUST ABOUT EVERY NHL PLAYER HAS GOTTEN HIS TEETH KNOCKED OUT. I THINK THAT'S LIKE A GIVEN WITH THESE GUYS, BUT THEY ALWAYS WORE THEIR TEETH GAME TIME. ANYWAY I HATED HIM WHEN HE PLAYED, LIKE PEOPLE HATE DANNY AINGE, BECAUSE HE'S GOOD AND ALWAYS IS A BIG PART OF BEATING THE TEAM YOU LIKE IN A GAME OR SERIES. NOW OF COURSE I LIKE HIM, BUT THAT'S THE WAY IT ALWAYS GOES.

  10. As a King's fan, I hated the Flyers, in a respectful way. Man, the Flyers owned us for 10 straight years at the Fabulous Forum. I remember going to the game that we finally ended that streak and it was like our Stanley Cup, for that 24 hour time 😁

  11. When the Flyers win the cup, I’m gonna lose it. It’s all I can think of and all I want to see before I die. One day…

  12. Like Bobby Clarke said in an interview when ask,how do the Flyers compared to other dynasties? Bobby Clarke said we where a joke a circus act.

  13. 1975: As a Flyers fan, I am sick and tired of waiting this long for another Stanley Cup title.

  14. Hearing Gene Hart yelling "The Flyers Win the Stanley Cup! The Flyers Win the Stanley Cup!" Still gives me chills.

  15. Pure gold. The best years of hockey. I stopped watching when the old players like Catbonneau quit. Too many teams. All about money.

  16. Don't call yourself the world champions 33:40. There were talented teams from overseas who would beg to differ.

  17. Agree with Kypreos on this, specially when you never won a fight in the NHL like him! What a hypocrite!

  18. What a lovely tribute to this storied franchise. Such comradery between all the players to share their time and memories of such brotherhood. In an age where private ownership of the great sports teams is in it's twilight, there are those depicted herein that were dearly looked after by the reverent Ed Snider Family. And all of them shall walk together forever.

  19. The current crop of "management" had no problem removing the statue of Kate Smith….punks.
THAT ? THAT they can manage. Putting a cohesive, quality team on the ice that continually shows up & is a team to be feared in the playoffs ? They have a bit of trouble with that….
They used to be everything to me. The current crop of management wouldn't even amount to a wart on Ed Snyder's ass. Buncha no goods. Resign, all of you & do the fans a favor. You SUCK at what you do !!….

  20. I have been a FLYERS fan since 67 I was 14 when they won the first cup. BUT I AM REALLY TIRED OF LIVING IN THE HISTORY OF THE FLYER'S. DON'T THINK THAT AM NOT A BIG FAN I'M ALWAYS GOING TO LOVE THE ORANGE AND THE BLACK. BUT THEY HAVE THE MONEY SO LET'S GET IT RIGHT

  21. They need to update this because this franchise has been pure shit for the last 25 to 30 years.

  22. I'm from Detroit, seriously miss these times, bless Philly for the great memories, part of my hockey past

  23. As a kid I was a Colorado rookies hockey team and Philadelphia flyers fan still a Rockies hockey fan even they move to NJ change there name to the devil's still a fan of 2 squads 00 eastern finals was so much fun I thought the flyers missing trophy was in 00 yr

  24. Lindros, hands down, the greatest Flyers. No not Clarke. If Lindros had half of Clarke’s protection and didn’t take so many hits, he would have retired a Flyer. Clarke didn’t want that.

  25. I like to see the Flyers Win one more Cup before i leave this mortal coil. When the Flyers Won their 1st Cup; i was in Junior High School. I'm 2 years away from Retirement.

  26. Love this video, I was a long time Flyers fan and season ticket holder. But I gave up on them after they removed Kate Smith statue in 2019 and stopped playing her version of 'God Bless America'.
