Im pullin for the canes but this team will not beat the bolts at this rate. You cant expect to simply hold home ice against the team that is the epitome of champion.
From checking out the other teams in the playoffs, there some excellent players (McDavid, etc.), but there is a distinct drop off in goalie play. There is Vasilevskiy, then some guys.
The one thing the Rangers couldn't do was to let Svechnikov score. He's been dormant the whole series. I think this wakes him up and will go off in game 6.
Rangers fan here, this reminds me of the Ottawa series in 2017 where all the games were close yet we only won games 3 and 4 at home in the series. I think that the hurricanes will finally win a road game and take this series in 6 but we’ll see. Good luck canes
Let’s be honest we are no where near as talented as the Canes. Sure Igor can win us a few games but we basically need him to be close to perfect every night. Realistically we shouldn’t have even made it past the Pens and definitely wouldn’t have without Crosby and both goalies being hurt plus straight up luck which is proven in every category. If we somehow pull out another series win it will be because of similar circumstances but hey we did it once we can do it again i guess
