Patch is already on sale.
I like it. It’s simple but you can’t have an overly complicated jersey patch. It has to be recognizable and readable and they nailed it. It isn’t too flashy but the islanders don’t have a flashy style. More clean, and traditional. This patch works in so many ways
ive seen this patch in person, the embroidery is indeed gold, very sharp, wish they would do an actual jersey, But its simple and not to flashy which matches the Islanders style as a team.
It is gold Neil, kinda like what the Flyers did for their 50th. Also I love how you are wearing the reverse retro jersey of theirs; they should make it their primary if you ask me.
Well 50 is the Golden Anniversary so gold is appropriate.

It's a decent patch… wish they made the 50 apart of the actual design of the NY logo. I still like the NHL 75 years & Pens 25 years logos as examples of anniversary patches in the past I liked.

That patch is fantastic. Fits the era of the Isles origin and their successful run of Cups, basic and doesn’t take away from the jersey, and eliminates the jersey ad.

I agree with all the things you like about it. I kind of agree that a white instead of the cream/gold might've been more dramatic with the exquisite beveling. I'd love to see them side by side. Yes they played it safe with the design but I'm ok with that because it doesn't take much to go all wrong. I'm sure somebody had an awesome design somewhere along the way, however.
