What's with not exploring the markets of players available in Poland and Hungary right at this moment?! Many, many years ago an odd player used to get picked up from Poland but not any more! There's good or decent players from Poland at least who can compete in North America even Hungarian players get a chance of a look see! These two countries are the major holes in the European hockey export markets to North America and the NHL right now, even in Olympic play! Any thoughts!
It's twenty years later and I still wish Rob Ray had retired a Sabre instead of going for a cup of coffee in Ottawa. It would have been so cool to have a perfect 1-team career on his hockeydb. I really liked Rob, he played with heart and grit and was a funny, crazy guy.

As a Bruins fan I genuinely hope that the Buffalo Sabres can finally make the playoffs this year. I had a friend from Buffalo and that city seems to have a championship curse on it (the four straight Super Bowl losses is proof). It would be nice to see that curse broken by either the Sabres or Bills.

as a baseball fan my favorite thing about it is the different stadiums. id love for the nhl to reverse that rule and allow different arena sizes within reason.
The Sabres were expected to be historically bad last season. They weren’t. They will overachieve again this year and make a playoff push. Insane amount of young talent coming through the pipeline.
Fun facts. Yutaka Fukufuji was drafted by the LA Kings in 2004. First Japanese born player drafted (I think) and he actually played a few games as well. And didn’t the Ottawa CFL franchise actually draft a dead guy?

Excellent report ! The Sabres for several decades were one of the toughest home teams in the league . And that's from Bobby Clarke , Serge Savard , Kirk Muller and Boston Legend Cam Neely. These guys are in the know ! The lost of The Auditorium , The Boston Garden , The Chicago Stadium, The Spectrum , Detroit's Olympia stadium and The Montreal Forum brough an end to wonderful time in the history of the NHL.
