  1. What coach would want to come here anyways. Flyers have earned a reputation of not only where goalies go to die but coaches as well.

  2. It’s genuinely a chore to be a fan of This team, it’s the same crap season after season. Won’t go all in and won’t rebuild

  3. Management will have to find a person who can coach snowflakes without hurting their feelings.

  4. I know this is 4 days old now and as expected Flyers are drafting 5th, as that was the most likely probability at 50% . It's disappointing, because Wright, Slafkovsky and Cooley won't be around at pick 5 and the Flyers could really use Slafkovsky. Guys like Nemec, Kemell, Savoie and Jiricek are nice players, just not in that same caliber as top 3 IMO and most scouts opinions. Of course no one will actually know the outcome of these picks for another 3 years lol.. The Flyers have plenty of defensive prospects and when healthy, they have a decent NHL d-core for the next few seasons, so forget Jiricek and Nemec. I now believe they should trade up into the top 2, using pick 5, a player and a prospect. An early 2nd round pick would have been nice to add the table but, they literally gave it away to Arizona along with Shayne Gostisbere for NOTHING in return( Worst trade in recent history). Anyways a trade will be hard considering Wright is a good fit in Montreal and they will want to hold on to number 1. Also,Flyers are division rivals with NJ and Slafkovsky is a good fit in NJ. So with all that info in mind maybe trade pick 5 away as piece in trade for a good young player, preferably a sniper/finisher. Flyers have to many average-skating playmakers with good vision and its been that way for years. Haven't had a top notch shooter since John fricking LeClair… Oh yeah since this video came out, they signed their 2015 draft pick Ivan Fedotov to a pro contract at 1.1 mil per. They are hoping he will be the backup to Carter Hart. He was a top 3 goalie in the KHL last season amd he helped his teams to a KHL championship and a silver medal, all while posting good numbers. He is a lanky 6'7" and is a cheap option if it works out. OMG I hate myself, longest message I ever had on YT. 😬

  5. Flyers need so many things. The wingers need to play better defensively. They need a scorer or two up. Maybe find a tough yet mobile defenseman – a tough chore in finding one unless they keep the #5 pick. They need to fix these problems to help out netminder Hart. The defense was so poor up front and down deep Provorov was asked to play too many minutes per game thus was not himself. Trade Konecny and hire a coach with a spine. A coach holding players accountable for their play. Lastly, pray Chuck makes the correct moves.

  6. Remember when the Flyers were one of the best teams in the league in 2020 before the pause? Oh boy, they have been so disappointing the last 2 seasons. Philadelphia was one of my favorite teams, until the last 2 seasons. I still like them, but not as much as in 2020.

  7. To answer your questions:

    1. I have NO CLUE who they will hire as head coach

    2. I agree with you, I don't think they can do a rebuild and an agressive re-tool at the same time. I think they need to choose one and stick with it.

    3. I think Philly has to shake up their roster in some way this offseason. I think a decent player may have to leave this offseason.

    4. I think the Flyers should be aggressive in free agency this off-season. However, I would qualify last season's offseason as an agressive one for Philly, and look how their season turned out. I think they need to sign a very decent player that can make an impact on the team right away.

    5. They NEED to address goaltending this offseason. They need a goalie who can backup Carter Hart, and be a good backup. Carter Hart also has to get better, and improve his game.

In the end, I still don't have much confidence that this team can make the right moves this offseason to get better next season.

  8. Fire Fletcher is the #1 priority. If this guy is allowed to remain he has the potential of frickin up this team for another 10 years. This guy is not capable of leading this team. Fire Dave Scott, him standing behind Fletcher is all the reason you need. All we hear from this dynamic duo is excuses. Do you know what real gm’s do when things get shi!!y, THEY MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. By December we knew this would be a tough season. As a GM you have to make decisions, even if unpopular. Even If it meant trading some talent and potential talent. This duo sat on their hands and made excuses. Comcast please do us a favor and sell this team to someone who actually cares about hockey.
Do not REPEAT DO NOT HIRE TORTS. He may be a good coach but the absolute last thing we need is another temporary coach.
Feel bad for coots, he locked himself into a shitty deal and we are going to ruin another potential hof career.

  9. The Flyers should just tank for another 3 years and build around top 5 picks. Trade the players that'll allow them to build a war chest of assets.

The Flyers should do what the Penguins did and tank until they can get two superstar offensive players and a number one defenseman. The Flyers shouldn't try to win now. It's about winning cups 5 years from now.

  10. The Flyers are unfortunately just not in a position to sign Gaudreau and make the playoffs next season. This team is going to be bad for the next few years.

  11. What needs to be done:

    1 – FIRE FLETCHER
    2 – Buyout JVR
3 – No Signing of any pending UFAs on the roster
4 – Look to move Provy, TK, Ellis, and I'd listen to offers for Coots and move him if the right offer comes along before that new contract kicks in.
5 – Pending RFA – Resign Frost, MacEwen, Tippett , Allison, Cates, Ratcliffe, Hogberg, Ustimeko to reasonable deals.
6 – No handing out of no trade/no movement clauses going forward. We have enough questionable contracts as it stands.
7 – Coach – doesn't matter, this team is going to suck for years to come as it stands.

  12. From senior advisors (clarke and holmgren) to Dave Scott to Fletcher to player development (Dave brown) to the scouting, this is the worst managed team in the NHL.

Until the entire organization is razed to the ground its going to the same bullshit every season

The Risto trade and signing was a disaster
the hayes signing was a disaster
Every time they make a "big move" it causes cap hell and defeats any chance of competing for another few seasons.

Expect them to trade their first-round picks, including the 5th overall so they can engage in the nonsense they term an aggressive retool

  13. Until Holmgren, Fletcher, etc. get the boot, the Flyers will continue to mire in mediocrity.

  14. Do you want to know what really needs a re-tool? The Front Office, which, of course, takes no responsibility for the barren drafts over the past decade, and can’t even manage that dreaded salary-cap. Too many Ex-Flyers running rampant, who have no business being in the Front Office.. They left their marks on Scouting/Drafting/ lousy talent development, and are NEVER held to task for their (lack of) effort. Why is this tolerated and accepted?
