My family has Preds season tickets and my dad was at this game. And I remember having to stay home and study for exams wishing I was there the whole game.
I’m so proud of my preds I feel like that year was done for my papa, he was one of the biggest predators fans I had even seen, he took me and my little brother to games when we were little and about a month before the playoffs started he passed away from cancer and every time I watch highlights from the 2017 playoffs it makes me think of him having to go through all the ups and downs with this team and then not make it to the most historic run a team has ever went on. I wish he could have made it for it.
Exciting fun run. But this group of guys squeaked into post season and got hot in the playoffs. Have not done anything since. Poile gave long term contracts to an 8 seed team. Been down hill ever since. Forsberg is only good stick on the team. Need shooters bad. Keep Callie, Josi, Forsberg and Ekholm. Have to trade the rest that are not contributing. Hurts to say because have come to love this group of guys.

i was in a hospital bed with two freshly amputated limbs watching a ref make one of the worst calls i ever seen preds vs penguins… that hurt worse then losing two limbs

I'm a Blues fan but I was rooting for the Preds that year. I was upset they didn't finish it off. Is St. Louisans know that feeling all to well.
I'm a Blackhawks fan, but I remember cheering hard for them in the Finals and being so pissed when they lost to the Penguins.

Even though the Preds lost the finals to the Penguins, their playoff run was insane and likely will never be replicated again.
A Nashville and Ottawa final would have been AMAZING. I rooted for both with a ton of passion in that playoff
