Giordano says he’s thought about the right side a little bit after looking at the roster. “I think there’s big benefits in the offensive zone on the other side. I don’t think it should be too hard if needed.”
Didn’t say if there was any specific ask or anything like that.

Rielly-Brodie
Sandin-Gio
Muzzin-Holl
LTIR: Lilly
I hate the Muzzin-Holl pairing, but I like this lineup until Lilly is able to slot in.
Even tho Sandin was subpar in his limited time on the right side last season, you would think he’d be the front-runner to nab that spot with Lilly injured now. And it would be a huge boon to play alongside, and learn from, Gio there too (again, see Lilly).
So when a former two-time captain and established vet (who took a shit ton less to play for this team) says he’s been thinking about playing the right side SO YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE TO PLAY ON YOUR OFF SIDE, you’ve really gotta be getting your shit together if you’re Rasmus.
Let’s hope Sandin pulls a Mitchy, only misses Picture Day and we see him soon. He’s got an incredible opportunity here and I’d really hate to see him spit the bit on this. I’m a big fan of his and was super impressed with his game and the strides he was taking last season before the injury. He may not be a lock to play all 82 games ofc, but it’s tougher to take you out of the line-up if the coach likes you *and* you’re playing well.
That’s a good vet right there. Willing to take on the tougher task of playing his off-side so a young guy like Sandin isn’t thrown to the wolves and tasked with playing his off-side while also trying to grow and get better as a player. Giordano makes me like him more and more as time goes on
