Connor doesn’t sulk when his teams struggle.
Sabres need to trade Jack for a very good young offensive forward & multiple 1st & 2nd round draft picks.
Only players the team should consider resigning are Sam, Linus & Dahlin. Middlestat needs a 1 or 2 year deal similar to what Thompson got.
It will suck with the cap but in the offseason the team needs to buyout Skinner & Okposo.
The team should look at acquiring veterans with 1 year left on their deals from other teams for high draft picks.
Get as many draft picks from teams over the next few seasons and be willing to trade these players at the deadline-
Risto (more retained salary = higher draft pick compensation)

Adams needs to do what Murray should have done after the tear down. Do not trade high draft picks for other team’s been around a bit “prospects”. Draft your own & only acquire veterans on 1 year deals when the other teams gives you back a very nice sweetener.

I’m a Sabres fan and believe me we’re not insulted one bit. The problem with this team is Kim Pegula. She knows nothing about hockey but yet is overall running the team and it’s showing. The Pegula’s make the decisions on everything including the Skinner signing and GM Jason Botterill was the fall guy. That’s why nobody wants come here except their buddies aka Kevyn Adams to manage the team. It’s now to a point where Sabres fans are finding other teams to root for and even rival teams like Toronto’s fan base even feels sorry for us and calling for a change because they know how passionate we are. But man I’m starting to get Montreal Canadians gear because it’s getting to that point.

I'm a Habs fan too, and I feel for Sabres fans too. They have such loyal fans, and have a long tradition in Buffalo. On the other hand, I think the Panthers, Hurricanes, and esp the Coyotes should relocate.

With an extra week or so of hindsight. I think I have a solution.
Trade Montour. Regardless of what was paid he literally never has fit a Sabres scheme and its not worth overpaying him to come back next year. Same thing with Eric Staal. That however is it. You are trading them for picks not trying to grab anyone. Let Granato finish the season as head coach. From what I've seen from the past couple games and from the little bits of practices shown he is getting them to refocus and get the little things down again that they let go under Kruger. Then they need to resign Hall, Reinhart, Ullmark, Middlestat, McCabe, Bryson, Borgen, Jokiharju, Reider and Asplund. Realistically that ain't hard. The only ones really making any extra will be Reinhart and Hall and Ullmark(idk how they got him to agree to the like 1.5m contract for this year anyway let alone Hall) and base guess just shooting say they eat up 25 of the 34 million in cap space they'll have. Well time to eat it because they grab any goalie that isn't named Hutton in free agency. No offense, but he fell the fuck off the wagon when he came to Buffalo. If Tortorella is available he becomes head coach worst case they pay Bruce Boudreau. Then they get their heads on straight and by the end of the regular season they should have the small shit handled and when whichever head coach comes in hits the ice with them it can be getting the big shit down. Like their advanced stats literally until this losing streak screamed something is wrong because all the advanced stats showed a playoff bound team. Well they started slacking, but as its shown they have some good fucking metrics they just need to flip their goals for and goals against. Not hard since it seems Granato reminded everyone they are some of the most talented players in the world and stopped telling players to not play their game. Like Dahlin all season to me looked like he was worried he would be benched for trying to make a play then when he wasn't getting points he gave up on defense. Yes since he's made mistakes, but at least he is trying again. Skinner has somehow remembered he's Jeff Skinner and its fucking beautiful. Now just realize that he will be centered with Cozens and best guess Olofsson next year while Eichel gets Hall and Reinhart and shit looks scary again. Why Kruger did anything besides that aside from swapping Cozens and Staal is beyond me. Bonus being Bryson and Borgen make Montour no longer needed so they can split Montour salary between them. Then Dahlin gets a little bridge deal and Reinhart gets his doubled and maybe they get lucky and Hall gets a fire that says he is like 7 million and we have a fucking team that isn't fucking shit again. You saw it right, but Fleury would be a great teacher for both, running 3 should hopefully prevent injuries and what do you know that looks like a fucking playoff squad. How do I know? Because I have watched this team since I was 4 nearly 20 fucking years and I know they are capable of making that fucking work. It puts them at the cap, but who fucking cares it God damned should and would work.

I don't think it was up to Kevyn Adam's, ownership call the shots impacting financial pain. Now they would not have made the playoffs regardless in my opinion but they held on to Ralphie boy way to long ….. fire him YES but a month earlier then they did. Hall took the 8 million bucks, was hopeful of a big season alongside Eichel and then parlay that into a long term 8 million per season deal somewhere. No one else was offering Hall 8 Million even on a one year deal for this season, his gamble backfired. Perhaps he salvages something in Boston but I really think he signs next year somewhere on a much lower per year team friendly deal.
