    OK, both Kane and Toews have one more year on their contracts. The will be UFA's at the end of the season. I would expect them to be traded to a contender (with Chicago holding onto salary) before the trade deadline. Yeah they both have NMC's but are they going to say no to being traded to a contender? Probably not, they can sign whatever contract with any team they want next year.

    I think Davidson wants this to be HIS team and not a group of guys he was handed from another GM, like he wants to build his own core and let the old fade out.

    We will have to see what the team looks like when he is "done"

    Its funny cuz the Blackhawks have been trying to trade Kane and Toews for 2 years now but it seems like they are the only 2 who cant take the hint, so now they have to trade everyone else so that its more clear smdh…its a bit sad tbh

    I never really thought Toes was that good of a player.
    Now im thinking it might have been because he wasn’t happy where he was.
    But on the other hand, that’s a lame excuse for a true champion.

    Yzerman would never act as childish as these players today.

    Funny how Toews is well spoken, eloquent and thoughtful when explaining his frustration with his friends leaving town, but when he found out his teammate had been raped, he did nothing, he said nothing, he saw nothing, and he knew nothing.

    Forgive me if I can't find the sympathy for his plight.
