How many times do people have to say this to u people, it doesn’t stop you from getting covid it just stop you From getting super sick and having to go to the hospital or possibly dying

  2. If Lou wanted whats best for the teams performance then Bode Wilde should be in training camp however we have seen in the past Lou leans towards veterens over rookies at most positions. I personally think it's stupid he was drafted to play in an NHL organization so he deserves a shot no matter his Vaccine status.

  3. Straight facts. If anyone argues this in 2022 saying the vaccines should still be mandatory with all the research and evidence proving that if you are young and in shape the chances of COVID doing damage is slim to none then those people just don’t want to admit they were wrong and still shove this political garbage in other people lives. If the vax worked like they said it would only unvaxed would still be getting this shit lol. And I’m vaccinated by the way…

  4. ♥️𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆❤️ Alles sehr schön. Aber zuerst zusammen die Nummern 10 und 1. Eine BigButtt.Online Brünette und eine andere Blondine. Es wäre unfairb, wenn ich 4 wählen würde

  5. Unlike some other vaccines, the Covid vaccine is not 100% effective at preventing infection. It's efficacy is in reduction of the severity of Covid symptoms, preventing hospitalization or death. Given what Covid did to the NHL, and specifically the Islanders over the last two seasons, I think Lou is taking an appropriate measure in protecting the health and integrity of his team. One might argue that they would have made the playoffs last year if not for Covid man-game losses in available talent on any given day. Last season unvaccinated players weren't allowed to cross the border into Canada. Those teams would have been without unvaccinated players in those cases. I think it is reasonable for Lou to make a team rule that his players must be vaccinated in order to play. Hockey is a physical game, in which players violently contest which team wins on any given night. An unvaccinated player not only puts his own teammates at heightened risk, he also puts opposing players at heightened risk. There has been enough time to study the corner cases in vaccine reactions at this point. NHL should make vaccination mandatory in order to play.

  6. Exactly! If the vax worked, everyone else would be protected. Weren't all of the players vaxxed last year when they all went down? Sorry but Lou's an idiot. It's not a vaccine! There is no dead or deactivated virus in the shot. Look it up. It's on the CDC website.

  7. Here’s where I think Lou is coming from:
    – The virus can mutate to a point where we’d need another round of vaccinations. If Wilde is playing with the Isles mid season and he’s refusing to get vaccinated, he’s leaving the rest of the team susceptible. Remember, vaccines don’t keep you protected from the moment they enter your body, it takes time for them to take effect. And remember, the Isles lost a lot of players to COVID last year, it’s fair that this specific (and New York based) organization would be touchy about this.
    – All of that said, I think it’s less about whether Bode’s a liability and more about holding your players to the same set of rules. If everyone else has to, so does Wilde. From a leader’s perspective, this is an important message to send.
    – I understand you didn’t have bad intentions with the comparison between racial segregation and vaccination status, but I don’t think that analogy holds up. Firstly, vaccination status is a choice, race is not. You can choose whether or not to be vaccinated, but you can’t choose not to be segregated. Secondly, the motivation for racial segregation (irrational fear) is wildly different than the motivation for making vaccinations standard (public health). Intent and motivation do matter when considering why a rule exists or is being enforced. Finally, vaccination is something that has an effect on the people around you, but race doesn’t work like that. Unvaccinated people can get everyone else sick (and even if that’s not the issue now, it was absolutely the issue when the rule was created), but blackness/whiteness aren’t contagious.

I understand you’re not coming from a malicious place, but if your virus as to what the other side thinks about this, I do think it goes beyond “Bode could get other people sick”. Other than that, thank you for creating some New York Islanders content, there’s not nearly enough of it in my book!

  8. Sorry but I have to say it, f@k Lou. The guy is a team destroyer! I love the fact that Kent Hughes pulled a fast one on him on the Romanov trade

  9. Im an Isles fanatic. Il so done with Lou and his crap. Let me see, Isles haven’t produced a home grown star player in forever——their development of young players is atrocious! They treated that other kid like pure crap—forget his name.-Jo Sang—And now this??? Gee let me figure this out—-Isles were hit with the worse COVID crap on the league last year—-NHL players were all vaccinated!! Outbreaks everywhere!! Maybe it’s the other way around——every person vaccinated Got COVID that I knew about——-maybe Lou is doing the kid a “favor” by not allowing to play——-il sick of this Gm—he’s been a major disappointment and detriment. I used to go with “In Lou We Trust” but That’s a joke to me. So now what—-destroy this kid because of what he believes in and his right to freedom of choice? Destroy his career like Ho Sang? This is criminal and it’s depriving him of his livelihood!! He’s an arrogant idiot

  10. Lou's the Boss end of the day. No one likes the whole NHL vaccine rules as is. End of the day everyone is doing everything they can to not let COVID ruin NHL again. Buddle seasons! I rather let the GM decide. That goes for all GMs. It's a good military type rule and I respect Lou's decision. Anyone here been in the military. This is nothing new. if the player who isn't vaccinated wants to play in the NHL than find a GM willing to risk that. I understand your argument with well if only one player on the team isn't vaccinated y should it matter. Problem is it's a bad look and it effects the other hockey players in the locker room. We don't need more drama. Consistency is always better especially if a team wants to make it to the playoffs. Stick to one rule creates better leadership end of the day.

  11. The vaccine will not prevent one from getting it or prevent one from passing it to someone else. It will lessen the symptoms for the one who got the vaccine. Bodie is a healthy young person. There's no reason at this point for this ridiculous rule
