  1. Life is pain for a Blue Jackets fan. But hey, they swept the President winning Lightning, turned them into a meme, and set them on the war path. You're welcome hockey world!

  2. Thank you for the respect you show when covering Columbus. I still remember the story Ken Hitchcock told when he coached Columbus about the TSA agent who asked him what who he was coaching now, and when he said Columbus, the agent asked what league they were in?

  3. Thanks for the time spent on the CBJ playoff history and appreciating their jersey designs.

  4. Man the what ifs with that 2019 team, what if they didn't meet Boston in the second, what if a couple of those games went the other way, what if panarin had stayed. That was the team that was probably a top 4 team and could have made a run that next year

  5. Amidst that incredible mediocrity Columbus faced throughout the years, there's been a famous humorist in Montreal that made a joke about that, somewhat of a classic. There's a comically disastrous situation that gets worse and worse and worse, and suddenly one guys goes "Well, NOW it can't possibly get worse…"
    Guy 2: "Well… Ummm…"
    Guy 1 "What now?"
    Guy 2: "How do I put this…"
Guy 1: "Don't tell me the Habs lost AGAIN to Columbus??"

Kinda nailed it on the head 😬

  6. Jackets can basically play with house money for the next season or 2. Tough to play against in the Division of Death. The Caps are old and will be trying to have Ovechkin break Gretzky's goal record, Pittsburgh will fall off a cliff when Crosby (and Malkin and Letang) retire (I see all 3 retiring simultaneously), New Jersey and Carolina are unpredictable with their clear flaws, Flyers are up and down year to year, and Rags and Isles look to have playoff spots locked down for a couple years.

  7. If you want to wonder who will make the Stanley cup finals, just look at who the jackets play in the playoffs and you’ll know half the teams in the finals

  8. I think the 18-19 run was worth it regardless of the lost prospects. Fans seem to really appreciate the bold move to go all in and on top of that sweep Tampa.

  9. All we have is that it's our fault Tampa learned to win in the playoffs and won two cups in a row. And we've lost to the Eastern conference champ all 4 of the last playoff runs (3 of the 4 won the cup), so it's all moral victories as usual 🤣

  10. 0:27 “Five times they’ve made the playoffs” my dumb ass seeing six “well I guess my math is incorrect because Shannon is infallible”

  11. It has to get better at some point…right? I can’t take much more lmao. But I’ll always stick with the Jackets

  12. I’ll always remember that 2018-19 run. Those late 2010 years were some of the most exciting years to be a CBJ fan. I’ll always remember, in late 2016, we beat Montreal 10-0. My dad and I joked that they were blowing up chickens in the rafters because they ran out of explosives for the cannon.

  13. I have read this from others and I agree… its time for the Blue Jackets to actually be a Stanley Cup contender, that barely making the playoffs is no longer good enough. Time to move to the next level. I don't see that happening as long as those top players, players who have a choice where to play, want to play almost anywhere other than Columbus.

  14. Columbus was in the Central in 2021. Not AS competitive of a division around its middle ranks, arguably, but three pretty potent teams at the top.

  15. Eventually Columbus is going to get there for playoff runs and even making the "Final Four" round, I predicted in the 2019 playoffs Tampa was going to be upset by Columbus but never did I believe the Jackets were going to sweep Tampa. I was in shock that day as well as the whole hockey fan base as well. Columbus fans coming from San Jose it's only a matter of time before you get to see that playoff run and Stanley Cup run. I know how frustrating it is to see potential but end up disappointed in the end believe me I know.
