Sandin hasn't played 100 games yet, he doesn't deserve much more $ than Lilly. I think his agent is thinking he's got another Willy situation. I love Sandin but he's NOT Willy(yet).

I'm not sure how you can say Sandin is any better than Lily. He's played 88 games and has been riddled with injuries. He didn't get in during the last playoffs because he was out for months prior and there's no way you're putting Sandin in on game 6 after that time off.
Sandin isn't Nylander and if he can't wait for Muzzin to finish his contract he sits. He can sign a bridge and get games when the time arises. Lily is an RHD and quite frankly developing much better. I love Sandin but this is tough luck bud. Sign the Lily deal and you'll get games as cap accrual goes up.

This management group has stressed drafting and DEVELOPING. Over cooking guys isn't a terrible thing. The injuries he's had have been significant. He's not ready and needs to prove he is in my opinion. Take the bridge out your head down and prove yourself. This is only happening because of his agent selection.
Lewis Gross is just that GROSS! What did the Nylander hold out really get Nylander? Nothing but a wasted season and a fair contract. He got what he was going to get but it cost him camp and an entire season stats wise.
On Matthews. Why the fuck is everyone asking about his contract extention a year before he can even negotiate it. That was and has been embarrassing as a Leafs fan already. The guy can't even talk about it for 10 months know your shit people. Desperation isn't a good look ever!!!
wow wow wow you all still havent learned , matthews isnt a winner , without marner at his side he isnt as good as you believe , he was a minus 3 in the playoffs and hasnt proved he can lead , if auston is in the west he isnt scoring 60 , matthews bennefits from getting to play 4 of the 6 worse teams in the that are in his division

Matthews isn't going anywhere. No way he walks away from the amazing things he's already accomplished in the blue and white. He's going down as the absolute best Toronto Maple Leafs in the history of the franchise. He's going to surpass every player record and in many cases is half way there already.
Very very rarely does a franchise player walk away from their draft team. His numbers are on track to crush almost every player record way before his next 8 years.
Ego is a thing with hockey players although they don't speak of it because hockey players have class. He knows what he can do by the end of his career here and it will solidify him as the best of the best (according to me) team in history.
Hopefully we can go on a Dynasty run to truly solidify it for him.
