Can't get over how empty the stands were. Even the fans that did show up were silent other than like 5 minutes? Even when the game was closer in the first period and a half. Worst playoff atmosphere I've seen in a while, despite the crowds they've had in past years
What a game the Preds came back from down three, then the Avs was still able to stay consistent on offense in score goals in keep the Preds behind in win by four.
This game sums up john Hines time with the team: 4 pp goals. Bad structure, terrible discipline. Outshot in basically every game. He looks good cause we made the playoffs but it took a generational year from josi, saros being too good and 2 40+ goal scorers. As a preds fan I’m hoping the sweep means we get rid of him
Let’s not kid ourselves. The Preds crawled into the playoffs and without their #1 Goaltender who could have give them a fighting chance to steal 1 or 2 games. They were done before game one started with this tandem and the Avs firepower. Side note: David Rittich is just awful. Backup minor leaguer at best. I’m thinking his NHL career is over.

Perhaps they should reduce the amount of teams in the playoffs. Would reduce these easy games in the first round and get the serious teams going head to head sooner.
The AVS have been the most skilled team in the league for a few years. Last year they just got little brothered by Vegas, really needed to toughen up this year. Getting Kadri back really helped, an Makar is on another level
