Faits saillants prolongés des Oilers d’Edmonton à l’Avalanche du Colorado

  1. Dominant showing from Avs. Solid defense in front of Frankie tonight who played very well. Can't get too confident up 2-0 like we were against Vegas… Go Avs Go!

  2. Avs should have played macdermid ain’t no way he would have let kassian and Kane run around and throw cheap shots

  3. Does anybody know if Nico Sturm is injured or why isn't he in the lineup the last couple of games?

  4. Not sure what more you could ask for from the guys the Avs picked up at the deadline. Manson, Lehkonen, and Cogliano have all been paying huge dividends in the playoffs. Even when the Oilers came out storming, the Avs D tightened up and shut everything down the Oilers threw at them. Right now, the Avs are just a machine, churning their way through the Oilers.

  5. I had the Oilers winning this series, and to be honest I didn't think it was going to be close. I thought Kuemper was just a massive liability. And well I was proven wrong, although I think this series would be going differently if Kuemper was in net both games the whole time. Either way, the Avs are playing out of their minds, Oilers desperately need to shake this off, and come back home with 2 wins, if not. Avs will be in the final guaranteed. And I'm not shocked, in my bracket before post season started, I had the avs winning it all. But throughout the Blues series my mind changed and it was solely based on Kuemper. But their Depth and power from top to bottom just makes this team a powerhouse. If they could land a stud goaltender like Vasy, they would probably win back to back cups as well.

  6. Now it’s time to see if the Oilers have the guts to push through. They showed heart in the Kings series, and didn’t quit in any game against the Flames, but I’m worried they’ve lost steam and have an attitude of “we mad it farther than we thought we would!”

  7. Avs straight up the better team. And Kane is a piece of garbage, nothing more than a cheap shot piece of garbage.

  8. Oilers, disaster … The only one who delivered was Mike Smith, otherwise it would be a debacle.

  9. I'm glad Lehkonen gets another shot at a cup run. He was one of 3 or 4 Montreal Canadiens that I would never have parted with if I was GM. He has always been awesome on special teams, and at takeaways. He may not ever score more than 20 goals a season, but the guy plays solid in every aspect of the game.

  10. Mcdavid is going to love his life in Edmonton & he will hate watching everyone else become a champion but him.

  11. zero defence. top two forwards did nothing
all turnovers and zero man to man coverage. rate F for Failing grade
Looking like a preson AJHL TEAM. Oilers did nothong right. Goali sucked. Zero offemse Zero defense. No energy. No power. No stamina or conditioning.Just poor playing. Not earning their paychecks.

  12. Look at the f.ckn 4. Score how the f.ck take in to net.he covered the net after Score what the fu.k…..

  13. There are a few really elite teams in the NHL. Edmonton is one of the best of the rest. The difference is obvious.

  14. My favorite moment was when the fans started chanting "Frankie" at the end of the game and Frankie humbly acknowledged the crowd. What a great moment for him. Defensively the Avs probably played their best game of the post season, so that shutout is much to their credit as well. But what a great moment for Frankie to have a moment like that in one of the biggest games of his career.

  15. Oilers showed their real side. Taking stupid cheap shots on Avs. Getting penalties and now fines. Poor sports who got their asses handed to them

  16. Sorry oilers but theres no chance you win this series. To beat the avs the whole team has to show up, so far that hasn't happened. You can't rely on McDavid forever.

  17. ….it‘s not over, oilers need to improve 1000 % , only then they have a chance

  18. 1) why does Oilers have a 40 year old as their starting goalie when they want to challenge for the title?
    2) that last goal though…shooting at a goalie who doesn't have a glove on feels rather unsporting. and dangerous

  19. I'm a oilers fan but i applaud the avs. they are a fantastic team. they know how to shut down our star players and make a fool of ourselves on the ice. I'm just happy the oilers finally made to the wcf since 2006. i remember watching the oilers vs car game when i was a child. Ofc theres a chance we could comeback but against this well oiled of a team??? i dont see it happening. I call avs beat nyr in the Stanley cup finals

  20. I love love the Oilers. Hope, they beat that Avalanche, I don't like them eversince especially Kadri.

  21. Connor and Leon don't have enough help! They need two more super stars and yes it's hard to due salary cap. Something needs to be done or Connor will probably leave Edmonton, just saying.

  22. Colorado is the best team with speed through the neutral zone I have seen in a while. MacKinnon is elite. Compher (Go Blue!) has been an opportunistic player in his shot development.

Colorado is also walloping the Oilers by getting behind their D. Edmonton is cracking in their own zone. Doesn't help the Avs are winning everything on the wall in this series.

  23. That little move that McDavid does ALL THE TIME…. I've been saying it since he was drafted….. learn how to poke check again. It seems like half of the NHL D-men forgot how to do it.
