This is basically the throwback version of the Leafs and Bruins in the present day.
Is that max domis dad?!?
so wrong seeing Leetch in that leafs jersey
When Jacque Martin's benches Spezza in favour of Vermette
Those first period goals had some bad angles to go in off of. Sad to see that.
That old goal horn😍
When the battle of Ontario actually used to be good
SPORTSNET: "Relive Game 7 of the 2004 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals…"
Me, a Sens fan: "No I don't think I will"
I <3 Patrick Lalime 😂❤️
Anybody watching this 3 hours before game 7 2021 just praying for tonight please leafs please
Fun fact…the Leafs have still not won a playoff series in high definition…#GOHABSGO
Came back to see this after they choked against Montreal lol
Still the last time the Leafs won a series.
That old goal horn / airplane sounds / Joe Bowen's voice over the PA 🔥
Came to see the last time the Leafs didn't choke? Look no further!!! April 20, 2004
Maybe the single most painful NHL game I ever watched.
Man I wasn’t even born the last time the leafs win a series I was born 2 years later
One of these great teams will move on : the winner ended up not winning a series in 17 years still going
As much as I don’t want to say it, the Sens were an up and coming monster. Imagine if they never let chara leave, or traded hossa. Just wow. A team built for the cap era before the cap era
Wait a minute… the leafs won a game 7?
So this is what a shred of happiness looks like…. Wouldn’t know seeing as I wasn’t born yet😪🙃
2:44 and 4:19 lol that was 😎
Lmao! Leafs on their 3rd goal coughed up by Lalime: Bowen: “WHAT’S GOING ON???” 🤣👍Classic line!
Anyone here just to see what it was like the last time Toronto won a playoff series?
Spezza was on the Sens here lol
April 20, 2004 the last time Toronto advanced passed the first round
Thought/memories from this game:
Krusty the Clown.
Hockey Legend John Muckler.
Animal from The Muppets (Darcy Tucker).
Peter "Pull-Ju-Jar-Vee" Chiarelli.
Brian Leetch was a Leaf.
Ron Francis was a Leaf and was a healthy scratch in the next round (including the last game when his career ended).
Pat Quinn went on a diet and lost a lot of weight that year.
It was ok to use your stick as an axe and it was awesome. Nowadays, you breathe on someone and the players whine to mom (refs).
Domi was effective when he put his mind to it.
People assume that this was McCabe's last good year before the lockout and rule changes (no more can opener), but he had pretty awesome stats after that season.
Leafs actually won a playoff series.
Mr. Underwood.
Nobody complained about the Muskoka 5 (only four of them this season) in 2004.
Nieuwendyk scores two goals in game seven: "Probably not in my top-10 playoff games, mainly because of two gifts from Lalime".
Andy Frost's voice probably intimidated the opposition, even if very slightly.
The pre-salary cap era was awesome (see Francis, Ron and Leetch, Brian).
This wasn't even Spezza's first season. Also, he had 55 points and somehow didn't play all of the playoff games (can't remember if he was injured or healthy scratched).
This was 18 years ago and Zdeno Chara was in his 7th season on his second team and he never wanted to mess with Domi or Roberts (before the [insert any player's name here] never wanted to mess with Chara era).
38 year old Belfour is probably the best Leaf goalie in 18 years (sorry Freddie).
Probably best to not mention "Nieuwendyk" to Patrick Lalime even to this day for fear of triggering cold sweats.
No HD and very little digital recording back then and I wonder if my VHS tape of this game still has integrity (doubt it).
I was born in 2001. I obviously don’t remember this series or the leafs winning it for that matter… but in my conscious life I do hope the leafs have all it takes to win a series this year, they have to at some point right? It’s time the change the narrative. GLG 💙🤍
Leafs in 7.
Please do it tonight Leafs. I have waited so long to win a round damn.
CHANGE THE NARRATIVE TONIGHT GLG
I was born in 2003 and I wasn't even into sports.
Last time that the leafs won a playoff series
Hossa Bonk Varaďa 😍😍😍
this brings back the tears, the hard work, the crowd going nuts!
Still to this day the last time the Leafs won a playoff series.
Ah, TPS Responses and Easton Synergys everywhere. Miss those days
1 min in we see a real forecheck and why the 2022 leafs lost.
Only safe place recently
Ed Belfour is my favourite goalie of all time.
Third and fourth line guys win many games in the playoffs well said Harry Neale. When you overpay your top players as Dubas did it takes years to recover from the mess. When Dubas leaves hoping Management wakes up and puts in a GM with balls.
little did they know this would be their last one in a long time
go T maple
the goal horn tho wish bruins had stopped using it so the leafs could use it again
