What are your thoughts on what the Chicago Blackhawks are doing with its roster?
What are the Leafs doing? You should be embarrassed for how you treated Campbell. No wonder why the Leafs can’t keep any players.
Hey guys im a hawks fan! Just saying hawks have absolutely no prospects to retool this team. We needed to do a full scale rebuild and aquire too picks. If I'm lucky we will be competitive in 4 years but im saying more like 6 years
I like how Bruno brings up the Seth Jones trade when it was Stan Bowman who made that move, not Kyle Davidson. Davidson has been adamant about tearing it all down. Bowman was putting band-aids on a flawed roster
I'm a 56 year Hawks fan. Totally disgusted by Kid Kyle and his stupidity. The Hawks have a terrible draft history, and trade a superstar for some magic beans. They will go through multiple rebuilds. I see at least 10 years before they can compete.
Kane could play with a bag of flour.
Hawks are on a rebuild. With a new Gm and coach. That’s what’s up. Prospect pool fill up.
Listening to you guys is like listening to a coupe of casual hockey fans at a bar, which I can do anytime.
Perhaps you should be G.M.'s somewhere.
Stan Bowman made the Seth Jones deal, not Davidson, and its BOW KWIST not "bock vist" there Zippy.
Davidson isn't leaving himself any room to blame anyone else for where the team is in 5 years, you have to give him credit for that, rightly or wrongly, its his team.
He is obviously building the team through the draft, he had Zero first round picks before draft day, and ended up with three.
He seems to be stocking up on picks for next years draft, apparently the deepest in decades, and signing rental players that will bring draft picks at the deadline, or are on short term contracts.
The Hawks should also be well positioned for the lottery, and what that means.
It must be nice to have it all figured out, I don't pretend to know if Davidson is going to be successful or not, but I am not so presumptuous to claim that he doesn't know what he's doing at this stage.
They've been retooling for 7 years, it didn't work. Kane and Toews have NTC do they can't move them yet.
Well, you also have to understand that DeBrincat's qualifying offer next summer will be 9 million – so you really have to consider that going forward. I mean if the Hawks aren't going to be competitive for 3-4 years, then it doesn't make sense to be paying a guy like DeBrincat 9 million a season…
The Blackhawks tried to retool so that they could try to make one more run with Kane and Toews. I was super excited before the season started last year. But in hindsight, Seth Jones had a very mediocre last season in Columbus. And these guys had underachieved ever since that 2017 sweep by Nashville. If there’s ever any conspiracy by the league regarding the draft lottery, I think they’d make sure the Hawks don’t get that #1 pick next summer
I wish my hawks got more for Cat but I’m excited for the direction of this team going forward at least we have a clear cut plan on what we are doing.
I’ve said for years that Kane and Toews have to go. They have talent, but no leadership ability and their veteran status seems meaningless. Say what you want about Crosby and Malkin, but at least the Penguins are in the playoffs every year!
