Kings are definitely going to try that first. Keeping the 2nd line together and moving Iafallo to the 3rd line would be ideal but anything can happen. All the guys they tried to put on the top line with Kopi/Kempe had some of the worst Goals Against Expected numbers in the entire league. Hopefully some of them can bounce back and Kempe/Kopi/Fiala maintain form. Also imagine being the defensmen trying to get back against a Fiala/Kempe 2 on 1😂

Only 2 forwards played 80 games. Hopefully we don't see the injuries we saw last season but the Kings do have some depth.
How about some draft picks from the past: Lauri Tukonen, Vitali Yachmenev, Jeff Tambellini, Yutaka Fukifui, Kyösti Karjalainen, Noah Clarke, Oscar Mollar, Pavel Rosa, Scott Parse, Justin Azevedo, Brandon Kozun.
I believe Kings have worst 1st line in entire NHL as don't see any teams Kopitar would be top center nor Kempe or Fiala wingers. I project Anze to have about 50 or 60 points with -11 or more. Fiala realistic maybe 25 to 28 goals with 65 points he wont come near 85. Kempe never scored 30 or more goals so maybe 24 with 50 points all of them around -10. Kraken better overall lines or value for players. Just can't win playing 3 LHS Forwards. Takes too long to do one timers or anything so goalie can react. There no tick Tack Dough Goals like Arvy/Daunault/Moore would score. Could have Moore play Center on 3rd line sending Byfield to AHL. Then have Fiala play LW on that line with Gabe at RW. I'd trade Arvy as will just be injury prone. Sharks I think can have a more productive first line as team will be losing by 3 to 5 goals. Flames should have decent producing one or Canucks or Ducks. Knights if can stay healthy. Maybe they can surpass Arizona. LA will be in the bottom of Pacific for points if Anze/Fiala/Kempe 1st line. AT most they will be like 60 point players so 181 Points? That seems a bit high for team who will be lucky to score 250 goals or even 240 hehe. Not having any Right Handed Shot forwards who can rely on for 20 to 30 goals or play 70 games or RHC to take faceoffs. Their PP is abysmal giving up lead leading Short Handed Goals for most year competing with 2nd overall picking Devils. I can't see Fiala helping that when need a RHS. Kings play simple game trying to sneak in the RHS D like Roy or so to score only to fail or miss net hehe. Kopitar on the PP makes me wish they were still 5 on 5. Not to mention 4 crappy forwards who can't score 40 goals on it. Iafallo coming from College to Kings 1st line shows how failed to draft well or develop anybody. Since moving team to ONtario nobody has come from Reigh when Voynov was developed in Manchester along others.
Lubomir another favorite of mine Visnovsky. I can't stand that purple or yellow so hideous is only reflective of losing. Its gotta be scrub like Greene as Stoll I think was other guy Oilers traded in that move. That they signed him after 2014 with his broken back. That is another reason Lombardi is gone when Lewieskie is the real Hero. I never liked him at all could not stand him or SToll especially trading favorite player for him ;). Anze Knees I'll be surprised if last full season or next. I have negative memories of that bad contract signed after that Last Cup personally :). If they didn't do that I would like him more like O'Donnel who pounded guy that ran Jamie Storr ;).
Think they'll try it but knowing Fiala's previous playing to be completely offensive minded (and juice to follow in suit) leaves defense all on Kopi. And Kopi usually leading all Kings in scoring will have to completely change his play style, with his defensive duties nearly tripling.
Now I couldn't even imagine Fiala being spoon fed by Dan and Moore and vice versa. Defensemen's heads will literally be falling off.
But we'll see, can't wait!
The best line combo for Kopitar was Kopi, Brown and Justin Williams. It wasn't for speed, it was to control play in O zone with board play a and puck possession. Now, it's speed entering the zone and creating 2 on 1. I hope it works…
I love Kopi but he looked finished about halfway through the season, no longer able to play the physical game and slow as molasses..
Bold prediction since the Kings top 6 looks locked right now with the addition of Fiala and how amazing Moore – Danault – Arvidsson was last year. But I have a weird feeling Kaliyev ends up in the top 6 and forces someone else down the line up. 14 goals as a 20 year old rookie playing a 4th line role. Great passer and has improved his play away from the puck a LOT – and of course we all know about the shot.
Who knows, maybe Fiala doesn't gel with Kopitar/Kempe and Kaliyev ends up in that spot. Fiala could find himself thriving on the Danault line instead (have a weird feeling those two would play REALLY well together) and then the Kings end up with a 3rd line of say Iafallo – Byfield – Arvidsson. Would be interesting for sure. Either way pumped for the season
