Come on Canes fans, a little love for Lindholm. Exactly what did the Canes get for him? I really don't remember but it can't have been worth what he brings to Calgary, unless it was the Aho draft pick.
Never been to a live NHL game (being from Finland it requires a proper vacation and quite a big journey). Still, it's a dream and in the meantime I have been watching these recaps for years now. From quite early on, I noticed that Calgary Flames games have rather unique atmosphere and one can clearly sense it even through just watching the online recaps.
It's almost like people watching the game live are people sitting in a church. For example, whenever a Calgary skater misses the net the whole crowd – and I mean EVERYONE – goes "OWW" as if they were a choir that has rehearsed it 1000 times before. Again, in this game it is remarkable to see basically everyone in the crowd dressed in red!
I mean, obviously people in Canada take hockey very seriously. Perhaps, one could almost compare hockey to a religion..? Calgary Flames fans seem to even take it more up a notch or two. If hockey was a religion in Canada, I would argue that the Flames fans were the most hard-core evangelic Christians with spooky red robes 😀
Where is tkachuks hit on klingberg and the fights afterwards? How is that not a highlight?! SMH NHL trying to pretend big hits and fighting doesn't happen…
