Lafreniere inconceivably had less even strength ice time in this game than both Rooney and Reaves. Not the first time it's happened this season either. Oh yeah, and someone tell Gallant Nemeth sucks.
Best commentators in the league…nice casual tones until something big happens….and you rarely have the back up man talking while the play is going on…., we like to occasionally hear the crowd or nothing once in awhile.
As a life long Ranger fan, I'm glad that they are back in the playoffs. However, I think it's going to be bitter sweet as their playoff run will be short. Defensively, they're still too young and inexperienced as a team to compete on the high level that playoff hockey requires and Adam Fox can't carry the whole team defensively. If I remember correctly, there was a stat put up during the game in Boston that said something to the effect of the Rangers were (at the time) 13-15-3 against playoff teams. Now it's probably 13-17-3 so not looking too good for the blueshirts. I would prefer to play against Pittsburgh in the first round as I think we have a better chance against them as opposed to Washington. If it ends up being Pittsburgh, I think it will be a long series and could go either way. If it's against Washington, I think the Caps will win in 6. Not happy to be saying this but I have to be honest, call it as I see it, and hope for the best.
