@Red Wings de Détroit

1. I’m gonna say no. Let’s wait after there 2nd year in the league and go from there.

  2. Don''t fret for Timmy. When he comes out of this deal at 29 with $65 million in the bank, I don't think he'll worry about not getting a very big raise on a new deal. BTW, I don't think last year was his breakout season. I think it's coming up.

  3. I'd love to have a contract that keeps them as an RFA then a 8 year deal. Don't think either of them would walk but it's nice to have that security.

  4. Who's with me when I say the wings are going to dominate this prospect tournament? Cbj Is the only other team that's not in win now mode with 0 prospects

  5. The Thompson contract will not age well and are going to hinder Buffalo's rebuild considerably, but WHO ELSE they gonna sell to the public as 'stars'? Razor and Mo, if they can avoid the inevitable sophomore slump, are best off waiting until next season to resign when the cap is higher and the Wings are closer to playoff caliber. I think these kids want to WIN, and will be less anxious to gouge the team for every penny if the locker room chemistry is great and the team starts to climb in the standings. They'll get PAID, but Stevie will explain to them the limits/constraints of building a winning team while still rewarding its stars. Nothing kicks your AAV up more than winning a Cup.

  6. I feel they will be a more expensive Zadina deal. But i could also see Mo getting that "franchise" tag 24hr after negotiation can start. Either way i don't see Mo, Raymond, Edvinsson, Cossa, or Kasper going anywhere anytime soon. But Stevie Y is the GM so who tf knows what's going through that guys head. 😂😂🐐

  7. I would be a tad more hesitant with Raymond until I see consistency in back to back years with equal or improved scoring as with forwards, you lose that your out. But with Mo, the way he plays his end, I wouldn't really care if he never scored another goal because he is THAT solid defensively and will only improve. To boil it all down, playing style is a hell of a lot easier to keep going than scoring. We got guys that can score, but we lose Mo….

  8. We have 5 players signed beyond the '23 season. We will be able to lock up our core with no problem. I wouldn't worry too much about cap space. And yes, we need to lock up Seider and Raymond to 8-year deals ASAP. #LGRW

  9. Think about how many guys we have in our prospects pipeline. Those guys will be starting the NHL soon. They will be on ELC's. Those ELC's are going to be pretty low, and give us the cap space to have all 4(larkin, bertuzzi, Raymond, and seider)on decent long term contracts. Especially knowing there will be some time other contracts coming off the books.
