This shows exactly where the Islanders are at this "point" a slightly above average talented team imo. Now I love the Isles have since they began and I ask myself is this their peak ? Have they not hit their peak? or. Have they hit their peak last year and the league has caught up to my beloved Islanders? My concern is genuine, what do you think(if you are reading this and a genuine Islanders fan) ? I am leaning towards we are still close but need to do some (not a ton but) trading in the off season. Genuine scorer.and a two way left(preferably) defenseman. It would,sadly, seem we need to part with some of our "old favorites" and mix with perhaps some new blood and or draft picks,in the off season to keep. Our dream alive. Most importantly we have the best current coach alive, barry. Trotz and Lou. Lamoriello who I believe can pull it off. Islanders forever 🗽

Shame the league made the islanders play when they were decimated by covid, all in the name of not canceling those fancy new home games
