They need to just build off Laine voracek werenski and merzlinkins with Kent Johnson and sillinger and they can have a good team in a few years
Let me know what you expect from the Blue Jackets this off-season
Ese atuendo me vuelve loco KISSSSSS.Uno loco contigo y tienes ese cuerpo curvilíneo, hiciste un buen trabajo modelándolo también. También me gusta el último atuendo. Me encantab cómo los cinturones de liga se.
Here is what you do: 1. Sign Laine to at least 5 year deal (it will be expensive, but it has to be done). 2. Target a veteran right shot D in free agency. They had major defensive issues all year, they really need a defensive veteran. Manson, Gudbranson and Colin Miller are players that would fit the role. 3. Take a look at the trade market for potential top 6 center. They have picks and prospects they could use for that, Texier, Chinachov and Foudy would all be expendable for that. Plus perhaps even this years 12. selection. I would be targeting Schmaltz just as an example. If there is no trade to be made, then ofc they can try to offer money to Giroux or Ryan Strome, but i doubt they are interested. 4. Draft based on highest ceiling, not on positional need or probability to make the nhl.
Considering how many 1st rounders they have, I can see CBJ try to use one or two of them in a trade for a veteran top-6 centre.
I think the organization still views Foudy relatively positively, he didn’t play in the NHL this year because he was injured for a majority of the season.
As for Laine I don’t see it as a question mark at all, both sides have repeatedly said that they are very interested in getting a long term deal figured out, so it shouldn’t be hard to get something figured out, and the fact that most of the hockey media has seemingly ignored these statements to further push the bs narrative that nobody likes Columbus is extremely annoying for the fanbase.
The CBJ are an average team that will remain average for a couple of more seasons but they do have Laine and others to tend to, contract -wise. will be interesting to see what moves they make this offseason.
I'm concerned that Laine will go on cruise control once he gets his fat long term deal, but CBJ don't really have a choice in a way. Hopefully they don't give him a no move or no trade clause. They've needed a centre badly since Dubois left. Have to fill that hole. Scheifele to CBJ for Laine lol. Their GM seems to be a sharp cookie, so while I don't see them in the playoffs next year, think they'll improve, and stay in the hunt longer. Seems bizarre that a team long known for strong D is now scrambling to keep pucks out of the net.
Can't see them doing much beyond maybe moving a guy like Bemstrom for a RD prospect. The team suffered nearly the highest loss of wins due to injury and on top of that their starting goalie was dealing with grief, half their defense combined for about 100 NHL games and they were learning a new system. They're going to bring back mostly the same team and they're going to be better just thanks to experience and being healthier both physically and mentally. They'll draft another two high end prospects to add to their plethora of young talent. Also Marchenko, Johnson and Blankenburg are all essentially new additions already coming into the lineup next year. It's a fun time to be a CBJ fan.
I'll check out the blue jackets never seen them play any games I remember when they first came into the league that cool one year in there early years inn league play !!!
Well they got some good talent young names I heard of playing in college they got slot of young future talent!!!!b
12:45 More Youth? They were the youngest team in the NHL. I agree that they need a center, preferably a heavy veteran. One of this team's glaring needs is a lack of a true enforcer type player. This team got pushed around to much last season. Actually, they probably need a couple of vets that can stick up for the younger guys. In net, Elvis and Korpi are not ideal, but that is what the CBJ are stuck with. Hopefully Tarasov is back healthy. He is probably the best goalie in the organization at the moment.
Roslovic was signed by the way… I know this video was made before that but just saying.
Is this guy drunk?
The Blue Jackets are ranked 19th in the NHL in attendance and have $475 million according to Forbes. The 2022-23 NHL season could be the last season for the Blue Jackets because on May 15, 2023, a Hartford-based ownership group consisting of real estate broker Ben Castonguay, hedge fund investor Cliff Asness, DSF Group president and CIO and Hartford Yard Goats owner Josh Solomon, Hartford Athletic owners Bruce Mandell, Joe Calafiore and Scott Schooley, Hartford City FC owner Aaron Sarwar, former Hartford FoxForce co-owner Lisa Wilson-Foley, photographer David LaChappelle, CVS Health president and CEO Karen Lynch, Foxwoods Resort Casino president and CEO Jason Guyot, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment president and CEO Ray Pineault, former UConn women's college basketball and WNBA player and current ESPN women' college basketball color analyst Rebecca Lobo, former pro wrestler and current NWA color commentator Velvet Sky, former NFL player Rob Gronkowski, actress and model Camille Kostek and former Connecticut Whale president and COO Howard Baldwin Jr. will purchase the Blue Jackets from John P. McConnell for $975 million, including a relocation fee of $195 million to relocate the team to Hartford for the 2023-24 NHL season. On May 19, 2023, a Hartford-based group's deal to purchase the Blue Jackets will be finalized. On May 30, 2023, a Hartford-based group and the NHL will hold a press conference at the XL Center in Hartford to announce the completion of a deal to purchase the Blue Jackets. On June 20, 2023, the NHL's Board of Governors will approve both the sale and relocation of the Blue Jackets in a 30-2 vote, only Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs and Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon will vote against it. As a result, the Blue Jackets will relocate from Columbus to Hartford to become the 2nd incarnation of the Hartford Whalers and play at the XL Center beginning in the 2023-24 NHL season.
I don't think the goaltending is what they should be worried about. Its the defence u should be biting nails for
