I still remember being at soccer as a 10 year old and finding out the Avs lost something like 7-0 in game 7 to the Wings in the WCF, I was devastated. The game 6 "Statue of Liberty goal" still bugs me to this day. But the 20 years of heartbreak could easily be forgotten.

Nathan MacKinnon's wonder goal in game 5 may not have counted for a win there but holy hell it counted for so much more in game 6. The way the whole team and especially the 3rd and 4th lines responded to that individual effort and came back to win it at the end was just sensational. The Oilers are gonna be a good challenge but honestly, I think St. Louis was a tougher opponent.
I sense an upset in round 3.. McDavid and the Oilers are just too hungry…
Now that they finally found the balls to overcome 2nd round, well see if they still can find the balls to win the 3rd round.

Nate is too classy to ever admit it but I’m sure he had to be furious at Kuemper for giving up those beach balls after he got a hat trick that still resulted in a loss in the last five minutes of a playoff game.
Shame that the Av’s didn’t get to clinch a single series at home. I wouldn’t have it any other way but the odds of that happening are pretty crazy.
