Being from upstate NY I am a Buffalo Sabres fan now in the midst of a 18 game losing streak now living in the South I have started rooting for the Canes still love my Sabres but I love following the Hurricanes I wish the Sabres were half as good the Hurricanes are definate Cup contenders one of top 5 teams in the Nhl hoping and praying they can bring back the cup to Raliegh .A great win Sunday verse Tampa Bay last years Cup Champion .Watch out Nhl a Storm Surge is coming !!!!!!

Raleigh native here. My Canes won 5-2 last night. I can tell you that yes, this area has 3 major universities and it splits the fan base. However the Canes draw all of us together which creates a ravenous fan base. We’ve been voted the loudest house to play in and all you have to do is got to Cup game and you’ll understand. We get to the games hours before the start time to tailgate like football. When Edmonton fans came here for the cup they thought the parking lot was on fire with all the grill smoke. They were welcomed to tailgate.
We had lean years of attendance because the former owner took the team for granted. We were bad yet ticket prices rose. He would make comments like “ if we sold more season tickets we could get better players.” Excuse me….we aren’t owners. The general feeling was that he didn’t care about the team.
But that’s all changed. We are back to the 2006 mindset. The fever is massive but it’s now reaching a new level. Raleigh is NUTS over our CANES

You can’t say half of the names in this video 🤣… if you knew much about hockey or did any research you’d be able to pronounce the names. Embarrassing. Thought about subscribing but then.. I watched longer.

Im just glad Waddell has grown from his mistakes in Atlanta. This past offseason he made some questionable goal tending decisions but its paying otf on the ice. Super deep team.
