  1. Visit Columbus. I have travelled all over the country and it is one of the most livable cities in the country, people are friendly, Midwest values, reasonable housing, great neighborhoods, a ton of golf courses and a very player-friendly organization. Many former Blue Jackets live in the city after their career ends because of its easy lifestyle.

The Blue Jackets have a great, loyal fan base and Nationwide rocks.

  2. The Blue Jackets need to cease operations along with all NHL teams that exist in states where they force 10 yearold girls who are impregnated by RAPE to have a child.

    🖕 Columbus and 🖕 Conservative Republicans🖕

  3. Gaudreau? Great. Gudbranson at 4 mil? Oof. Klingberg for like 8 mil would have been way more exciting. Not sure if they have the cap space with Laine needing a contract, though.

  4. “Why Columbus”???

#1 Columbus would be the 2nd biggest City in Canada!! Columbus and its suburbs have a population of around 2 million people!! And thats within 10 minutes of Nationwide Arena not the “Metro area” BS which is within 80 miles!!! Ohio has over 1/3rd the Population of Canada!! Columbus is the 8th Biggest City in the NHL!! The Hate on Ohio and Columbus is Hilarious coming from small town Bumpkins who don’t know how to use google!!
#2 How do all you “analysts” miss the tax situation!! Johnny will make the most money here in Columbus!!! Jersey has ridiculous taxes too!!
#3 Johnny is now a 40 minute plane ride from Philly and he plays in the Metro where he’ll be in Philly, Jersey and New York almost every week!! It all makes total sense!! Plus it sounded like in the Presser that Johnny didnt wanna go all the way home just closer to home!! #4 You also have the whole wanting to get out of Canada thing due to Fidel Castro’s son up there making travel hell, forcing Jabs or you’re a terroist , Muzzling people, banning fans from stadiums, the lockdowns and just because he’s a globalist commie who acts like a fascist dictator!!
PS hey geniuses, Columbus took 2 of the Top 5 Defensemen in last years Draft in Corson Ceulemans and Stanislav Svozil!! Add Jiricek and Mateychuk to that plus we already had a good talent pool with Samuel Knazko, Guillaume Richard, Aidan Hreschuk, Marcus Björk, Ole Julian Bjørgvik Holm and Eric Hjorth!! Plus we signed Nick Blankenburg at the end of last season!! Yea we don’t have a top pair now but in 2-3 years we’re gonna have more top two pair defenseman then we know what to do with!!! Trade bait for days!! Columbus Easily has one of the Top 2 defensive Prospect pools in the NHL!! Jarmo knows what he’s doing!!

  5. How is now that almost all mainstream talk shows promote gambling? That flushing sound? Our collective morals and values "I bet".

  6. Not sure who Portzline is, but he’s one of the best guys you’ve had on. Certainly knows CBJ.

  7. Something that everyone may be missing here is Gaudreau's wife is a NICU nurse and Nationwide Columbus Children's is one of the top childrens hospitals in the nation. Maybe he felt is was close enough to home while giving his wife a great place to work.

  8. Taxes (take home pay), housing prices, traffic, crime, livability -all make Columbus a much better choice than any of those other big cities mentioned for a family guy like Gaudreau.

  9. I travel to Columbus once a year to see the Pens play. It really is a beautiful city that has all the amenities of city living with the quaintness and safety of a small town. And it’s fun as hell going with 50% pens fans in attendance.

  10. Methinks both player and team will be regretting this signing. A one off year last year for Johnie Hockey which won't be repeated, and Columbus is, well, Columbus. And that's in Ohio to boot. Yuckers.

  11. Columbus "Johnny, you know how you hate the losers in Calgary that will bug you every time you go to the mall? In Columbus we don't care who you are, most of us don't even like hockey! Sure, the blue jackets will go under one day, but no one will care"

  12. If Johnny Hockey ever makes it to the finals with Columbous, Connor McDavid will be waiting to END HIS CAREER AGAIN

  13. I would love to see this same conversation now.
Tex is gone and Laine signed.
    Gaudreau in the fold.
I felt that Laine taking a smaller number in year one was his belief in the future. Laine could have received more but he chose to ease the Cap to help the team.
    I love that.

  14. Porty is open and sooo intelligent in his takes. I really do trust his opinion. Believe me Porty will be the first person to call out the CBJ for a bad move.

  15. I invite Steve to come to Columbus during a date in which we play the Leafs. See the town. Stick around for a Buckeye football game. We may not have the population of Toronto but we have some serious sports fans that you can relate to. Columbus has grown up over the last few decades. Come check us out.
