Can you imagine being a fan and paying 400$ + to see that shit show? One good thing came out of Covid I guess.
So much as it's painful to relive rewatch etc, as a Hab fan I'm literally so surprised not one leaf fan realized that Matthews wrist was shot after the first game but yes go rewatch and you'll see he was favoring it and pretty much his shots lots its zip, his passes we're labored and those few times he had a clutch time to shoot he then opted to pass! Marner knew this and obvious times he would normally dish it over to his partner for the bomb, he tried to find a better option banking on getting to the 2nd round and Matthews wrist would get a little more strength to perform….It unfortunately never got that far…

As a Leaf's fan old enough to remember their 1967 win, and have supported this team when everything (and seemingly everyone else) screamed why, I have to say that this quick one and done exit really stings. Marner doesn't have the physical or mental capabilities/fortitude to perform at a playoff level. Give me 20 players the caliber of a Jason Spezza, playing for the league minimum, who plays everyday with heart and passion. Money can't buy that….you either have it or you don't….. absolutely disgusted with this team. Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark, Gary Roberts, and many others had tons of heart and determination to "get it done". This current roster is lacking in heart, and save guys like Spezza their is a serious lack of passion and determination. I sure didn't see anything from the core, especially in games 5,6,and 7 when it mattered the most. Disgusting……absolutely pathetic effort. Their exit interviews were equally pathetic. This group clearly doesn't get it, and will never win until they inject players of the caliber I mentioned earlier. The City, The Alumni, The Fans all deserved better. Great job on the Podcast boys….I sub'd.
Pierre Luc Dubois is a below average defensive player. Danault is the 3rd best defensive centre this year and last year he was 6th in selke voting.

This is the first episode of your podcast I've watched and I was in tears laughing; the sombre intro music, the heartfelt frustration, your reactions. And valid observations as well. The Danault comment hasn't aged very well has it? While he doesn't have the offensive upside Bergeron has, he's able to single handedly dismantle top players for entire series.
