  1. He wasn’t much while we had him. He hasn't done much for the Canes so, as far as the "steal" of a deal goes, he isn’t missed in Montreal.

  2. He's good player but not THAT valueable. Hes still young & inexperienced too. He has bit of laziness in his game. Think bout it, if he were THAT valueable u dont think Habs wouldve resigned their own draft? We let Danault walk bc he was asking too much; he's great defensuve offense n shut down player, but ON habs lineup he wasnt worth the value for numbers he was putting up. On LA hes playing way better too so it worked out for both habs n kings. KK on other hand, doesnt seem like he's playing up to the offer sheet price. Young inexperienced franchises, should learn from Habs franchise; weve dug ourselves into a hole n offloaded most our roster. Fortunately we have boatload of drafts n prospects in pipeline. KK was an overvalued price tag – your hockey franchise doesn't 'survive' +100years by signing overvalued players to overvalued contracts; HABS they have the finances to survive another 100yrs even without a cup, do you really think Carolina will survive the next 100yrs by signing contracts like KK? cmon sun!

  3. think Canes get rid of Necas(who needs to go) and Nino in the offseason, Kk really needs to improve this next season. and Staal will be gone in 1 more year

  4. Looks good on Carolinas GM. One of the only good moves that Bergervin did…..not counter and let the dud walk.

  5. Canes owner made things personal regarding Bergys Aho offer sheet. Karma don't take time off😉

  6. i mean it was a guess if kk was going to be good, we dont know, kk really underperform, imagine im on a other team, his stats would have been worst

  7. This is one of those contracts that may look like a steal in 2-3 years time, in the immediate…?

  8. @legorock99, quand vous pouvez attirer la magie, vous n'avez pas besoin de liasses de dollars

  9. I always found it so ironic that back when aho was offer sheeted the canes gm was crying crocodile tears but when a inferior player in kk is available he pounced at the opportunity to spite habs fans but most of us and even bergevin (at the time) didn’t give two shits if we lost kk and then they acted like they were geniuses so far that 8 year extension looks like a buyout in 2023-2024 if he plays like this

  10. As a habs fan as much as i would love to say the eight year contract was a mistake, it could be they slightly overpaid for a good 3C or mid 2C. It will become a value contract over time imo. But i hope not!

  11. Carolina took Kiki off the Habs hands after Mtl had already ruined this player by rushing him into the lineup when what he really needed was to be send down to the farm team for seasoning. He will still be an OK player but he could have been a lot better.

  12. 2021: We're gonna mess with Montreal's salary cap.
    Also 2021: They didn't match!?!?
2022: Our salary cap is messed up.

  13. God the habs suck at drafting 😂. Some how they'll manage to screw this year's up too

  14. They went after the wrong guy if their intentions were to put the screws on Montreal, and I believe that was the reason for the trade. They could have waited on other opportunities in the future to show teh finger but now they are stuck with a mediocre player. If he hasn't shown any signs of dominance with a good team he is a bust. Oh he might pick up a season or 2 to show some flare but to pay a guy almost 5 million annually for 8 years to get a couple of good years isn't management savvy

  15. What do you expect from an organization that forces you to dance and act a fool at the end of games in order to keep fans around. It's fuckin' Blue's clues out there. Petty and childish GM wanted "payback" for Aho when claiming the offer sheet was easily matched. So easy he was still salty about it a full calendar year later.

  16. KK is a nice kid, but he's content to be himself, and he's not interested in playing hard or learning. He earns enough that he's not hungry. He can buy case-loads of Pringles.

The canes can suck on his contract.

  17. It's easy to make a mistake anytime someone try to get even on something and the Canes did just that because of previous OS grudge for Aho by the Canadiens. Bad move for last year and more to come.

  18. Decision base basically on revenge rarely end up good decisions…After the show off comes the consequences..

  19. I see KK as the same player Galchenyuk is, bouncing around the NHL, showing flashes of ability, but otherwise being mediocre at best.
