  1. Sooooo stoked!! Kevin is a beautiful skater and has an absolutely wicked shot. 💪🏼👑💪🏼👑💪🏼👑

  2. The wild just got rid of a 25 year old fiala who has averaged .92pts a game over last 3 yrs. Classic MN choosing nice safe players vs actual talent. Spurgean, who somehow is our captain, and Dumbais are replaceable, not fiala. Spurgean made at least 3 bad mistakes in the playoffs that led to goals. Yet we choose to save them because they are nice guys..

  3. Rob Blake won this one I think. Honestly it’s a pretty good deal for both cuz WILD couldn’t afford to really keep Fiala and KINGS had the cap space, prospects and pics to offer. I know it hurts Wild fans to see Fiala go, and most think they should have gotten more… However, there’s no certainty Fiala is going to match or surpass this years stats. But the Kings didn’t really want to part w/ Brock Faber either. Captain of the Gophers as a sophomore and Big Ten Conference Defensive Player of the year !!! This kid has GREAT character too and is certain to wear a letter someday for the Wild. Hometown kid too, just makes sense. Then you got the Kings # 1 (19th pick) which may allow Wild to pair with their other 1st round pick and trade up ? I am surprised the Wild didn’t get one more piece. Kings have so many centers and Wild needs centers. If I were Guerin I would have required one of the Kings medium tear center prospects as well (JAD, Akil Thomas, Tyler Madden), and then maybe take the Kings 2nd round pick instead of #1. Seems like Guerin should have got 3 pieces for Fiala, this video says it all ! Blake is the victor on this deal !

  4. I like that Fiala will take on defenders. Doesn't matter if there are 2 or 3 defending. He will take the puck into those areas and look for a shot.

This is Kempe's next level of development if he ever hopes to break that 40 goal mark.

Fiala also might just be the 1st King in a while to actually lead the Kings in points that isn't named Kopitar.

  5. Bro La won that trade all they gave up is a first and a prospect, I know it was a cap dump and all but still

  6. As a diehard Kings fan since their beginning, I am euphoric from this Fiala trade by Blake! He got the exact guy we needed: a left wing scorer who also makes a lot of assists, who will complete our Top 2 lines and has arguably the best center (Kopitar) to play along side with in his career while having fully developed. We gave up less than what I would have thought as a 3rd piece like Vilardi, Kupari or Thomas wasn't thrown in. Now can we sign Grundstrom & Lemieuxxto keep some toughness, and add Chychrun by trading IA & his $4m contract along with 2023 second round pick and another RHD? Kings are no longer rebuilding but are contenders now. I bet Kaliyev & Byfield make big strides this coming season too.

  7. Heads up Kings fans. When the Preds dumped Fiala off to MN, everyone questioned why they would get rid of talent when they were trying to make a Stanley Cup run. David Poille (the Preds GM) is not known for making questionable moves. Well, it turns out that Fiala & Arvidsson got into a physical altercation in the locker room & Fiala, at the time, was generally considered to be a cancer in the clubhouse by many of his teammates. So, don't get too excited just yet. Maybe he has matured in the last couple of seasons, but time will tell.
