  1. To bad the best team in the league can't draw a full house, but if it's sunny and 80 I guess I'd try to get nine holes in before dark.

  4. Did not like Hoffman on the first line, he’s not the type of player I want Suzuki and Caufield to play with, especially because of his terrible puck management and sub-par vision.

  5. Last in the Atlantic division right where they belong. Trash team, trash fans.

  6. Yikes, Evans sure had a bad night. He first lost the puck after getting a glove in the face and complaining about it (Panthers 2nd goal, which the broadcast did not mention at all why Evans was so easily stripped of the puck), then his crash on the boards was awful. Let's hope it's nothing serious.

The Habs problems are, right now, defence. Their D-corps is full of youngster/AHL players (such as Schueneman) who are, for the most part, already playing to their highest level. There is a similar thing with the forwards (the two Pitlick, Dauphin come to mind). Since St-Louis arrived, they began scoring goals again, but the defence, while being more intensive, is a mess. Many breakdowns are the results of forwards not playing well or losing their guy. Hoffman is always causing trouble there (while Suzuki is good defensively, he can't be expected to face top opposition AND compensate for two wingers (Caufield seems OK defensively, but not quite the level of the likes of Byron, Gallagher or Lekhonen, and can't compensate for another winger's defensive weaknesses), but even normally reliable guys like Byron and Evans caused goals against. It's often missed in replays, but it's common that a seemingly bad play by a defenceman was caused by another bad play putting the player seen in the replay in a bad spot. Neutral zone giveaways can also easily be the result of a lack of passing options that are easily off-camera…

The goaltending has been much better these days. Montembault is healthy now (he had to play injured in January when Primeau faltered, and it showed) and Allen is on fire. Both are excellent in a backup role playing 30 games a year, but struggle with the workload of a 1A starter. And right now, they are left on their own. Allen could not do anything on most goals he allowed in this game. Huberdeau scored twice with the same move, which he couldn't do if a defender was in front of the net to stop his deke to his backhand.

  7. Was hoffman playing for the Panthers or what!!!!!…horrible game. Just cant give up the puck like that.

  8. Lifelong Habs fan. Well done Panthers- my guys simply had too many holes in their coverage and were also out-hussled by Carolina. Bummer but there it is.

  9. love seeing the packed house! it's such a far away arena, I don't blame fans for not going– no excuse when the team is this good though!

  10. Mike Hoffman is Jonathan Drouin 2.0 . Turnover machine, overrated, and can't produce offence anymore to match his salary cap number. Habs are stuck with him for years. Even Mr. Positivity Marty St-Louis is gonna get fed up real soon and ask hughes to send Hoffman to the Laval Rocket. Not a single team wants Hoffman at that salary. He's a bad influence on the kids with that awful work ethic.

  11. I really like Ylonen, I think he is coming along very nicely! Nice to see the Habs playing with heart even though they were outmatched tonight, good effort boys!

  12. Is bob worth the 10m salary? I dont think so. He needs to step up for the playoffs.

  13. Panthers thank Hoffman, and he shows his gratitude by delivering a pizza in his own zone for the game winner!
