Caniac here who's ecstatic they're back! My first Canes jersey is a Pro-Player one which after research I can conclude it's the same age as me (1999). I personally love the OG design, will never understand why our old owner Karmanos moved away from em, and I'm so happy to see them FINALLY return! Judging by fan feedback I've seen online, I would be shocked if this isn't the new home jersey by 2025. Give the black jersey some time in the sun before moving it back to alternate status IMO since they just announced it'd be the home jersey. Although I may be wrong and the new red jersey could very well achieve primary status next season, I don't think that'll be the case. I do think it's a permanent feature now though because like I said, the overwhelming majority of Canes fans I've seen online are begging for it to be permanent.
