Cage the Krakens
Hellebuyck was sharp, Kraken had a few good chances that could have made it more interesting. Not a bad effort for an expansion team that wasn't given free reign to build a contender out of the gate (looking at you Vegas).
Grubauer was a surprise pick, I liked him in Colorado and he looks comfortable in Seattle. I honestly expected them to take Price and then-Jets back-up Broissoit.
What is with the color on this feed? Do they put a Kraken teal filter on all the in-arena cameras?
Personally, for a 1st year team, I think Kraken aren't that bad. They have beaten some of the best teams in the league lately. Sure they are up and down with wins, but what else can you expect for a 1st year team? Vegas was just a "fluke" their first year. Look at them since then. Kind of fun to watch them because they can surprise you when you don't expect it. I bet if you asked any coach in the league, they won't look at the Kraken as a potentially "easy" win. Save that for Buffalo 🙂
