There’s no possible arena arrangements for the Coyotes for the 2022-23 in the Phoenix area. It’s very likely the forbidden word among hockey circles: RELOCATION.

  2. If the Coyotes leave Arizona, that could also put the Tucson Roadrunners, their AHL affiliate in jeopardy. So yeah, not a great time to be an ice hockey fan in Arizona.

  3. Coyotes to Quebec (join Atlantic division) move Detroit from Atlantic Division to the Central

  4. Well, another embarassing operations incident in a long line of embarassing operations incidents for the Coyotes. Surely this means they're (finally) relocating?

  5. In all fairness Glendale was going to have an empty arena on their hands whether the coyotes stayed or not….

  6. The AZ Coyotes are the biggest embarassment to the league. They should've NEVER left Winnipeg.

  7. Unfortunately, I doubt that the Nordiques return, since a) the NHL loves Southern teams and b) there would be unbalanced conferences again.

  8. The Coyotes and Tempe are in talks of a new arena and the old coliseum in Phoenix will probably be the Coyotes play until an agreement comes thought with Tempe

  9. Move the team already! I have family who live in Pheonix. And they didnt know they had a hockey team.

  10. There’s an empty arena in Kansas City. Central division, cool weather. Be a nice place for a new start.

  11. Why Quebec will never receive a hockey team.

    1) CAN to US dollar ratio
    2) NHL would have a 17-15 Conference situation… and Columbus or Detroit do not want to move back the Western Conference. They pushed to be in the Eastern Conference for years.
    3) Arizona starts the 21-22 season in the Central Division to make way for the Seattle Kraken in the Pacific. It would not shock me to see the Coyotes relocate to Houston. Looks like it is lined up perfectly.
    4) The fans have kicked and screamed for decades. Literally going to other arenas and being obnoxious. The NHL is aware that you want your team back, but going to NHL arenas home of teams that are struggling in the league isn’t the answer. In fact, it makes you all look more desperate and pathetic.
    5) There are plenty of cities in the US that are priority in the event a team has to relocate.

  12. Send them to Surrey BC. Theres an arena in Abbotsford, a HUGE fanbase, and its on the PST

  13. It's time to sell the team and relocate it. It's been a disaster since they arrived from Winnipeg.

  14. As much as I want the Diques to come back, it's going to Houston.
Bettman simply won't allow it, due to his inherent Anti-Canada bias.

The Florida Panthers on the other hand…….

  15. I’d love to see a team in Hamilton, Ontario, as I live in Niagara Falls lol they even have an nhl size arena they built to host a team but it never happened (that had the bulldogs in the ahl for a few years). But I honestly think they’ll move to either Quebec City or Houston

  16. The typical comments about going to Quebec, Hamilton, anti-Canada bias from Bettmsn abound.

It isn't Bettmans who doesn't want Quebec. It's Jeremy Jacobs, the Bruins owner. He wants Houston in the NHL. The Houston Rockets owners are loaded and they want an NHL team. The Toyota Center is NHL ready now. Houston is a metro area of over 7 million. Houston has a hockey history. So, if the Coyotes can't solve their arena problems in Arizona, they will become the Houston Aeros.
The team isn't going to Quebec, Hamilton or Hartford. Detroit and or Columbus are NOT moving to the Western Conference to allow such a move.
Accept it. All the whining from Canada won't change anything. Texas has about as many people as Canada and should have a team in Houston. Let us not forget that the anti Canadian Bettmsn blocked Leslie Alexander's attempt to buy the Edmonton Oilers and move them to Houston in the mid 1990s.

  17. Wait, so they're desecrating jerseys by putting ads on them because they lost all that money last year… but they want to keep losing money with this franchise by not moving it back to Canada?

NHL must really hate making money guess

  18. Hope Coyotes move to Tempe az Arena is build 2022 in East Valley in Arizona!!! ? Be get temporary Home at Phoenix Sans or at Sun Devils University Hockey Team can Share the Arena during the 2022 season in Arizona!!!

  19. I think its time for Gary Bettman to admit that the Arizona experiment has failed and has been an utter disaster, I really don't know if I see them getting an arena in Tempe due to the lack of attendance and the team in general being a dumpster fire, I don't see why they wouldn't move the team to Houston at this point
