What a shit show of an organization. I heard rumours that the owner was running the team. No wonder they’re not doing well. They treat their players and coaches like Garbage.
Ah, Vegas-the last team to not make the playoffs and , boy, are they in some trouble now. Still a very good team but the special teams were subpar, the PK in particular, was less than good. Injuries certainly played a part in their struggles, not having Mark Stone for most of the season hurt the most IMHO. Also, they will need to hire another Head Coach after firing Coach Deboer, so, a new coaching perspective will be in place. Advice to new coach: Don't buy a house in Vegas. The salary cap situation is very, very bad for Vegas—how the heck are they going to get cap-compliant ? Part of the mess was the mismanagement of the Dadonov trade, which was inexcusable—someone significant has to be moved off the roster to free up some money, question is who? Awesome report and i am not sad that Pietrangelo and Eichel got to watch the playoffs instead of being in them. Going to be extremely interesting to see how they get out of this current situation and if they can remain a strong playoff contender.
I would love to see none of the teams trade with Vegas. That way Vegas has to give players away for “future considerations”. Stand against Vegas!
I think DeBoer was fired for the lackluster special teams. And also the way he treated Lehner. Speaking of Lehner, you sort of intentionally left his name out when speaking of time lost to injury.

Firing DeBoer was yet another mistake. Now they have to spend time and energy on another coach when the focus needs to be on revamping the roster to get cap compliant. Think you've identified the players who may have to pack their bags. As for Karlsson, he will be tough to move, unless they retain a big chunk of his salary. Their prospect cupboard is pretty bare, but they have to live with their decisions. Despite all the problems, think they will bounce back, and be in the playoffs next season.

I believe Vegas will be back next year. Specifically, top-3 in the division. I don't see them as winning the division, but maybe 3rd place for sure.
Vegas will be interesting to watch, for sure. I'd like to see the Jets trade for Marchessault. He'd be a good 1st line RW, along side Dubois.

Trade Theodore he would get a big return. Elite skater who never uses that ability to get himself out of trouble.
It's amazing how badly they screwed themselves with the cap. Best of luck to the fans. Too many unmovable contracts for aging players. Gonna head downhill fast

This team will never win a Cup as constructed. If anyone disagrees with me, one question for you. Eichel, Stone, Lehner, Pietrangelo, Karlsson, Marchessault, Martinez, Theodore. Who of these players has the best season of their career left in the tank? It's possible none of them do.
I see Pacioretty being traded this off-season. I would trade him if I was the GM.

I live in Vegas I'm a season ticket Holder. The coach got fired because he couldn't get along with the goalies. He made Leonard play hurt practice hurt. Because management went along the coach I don't think Leonard will be back. Too many chiefs not enough Indians on this team now they have a mess.
"Their ethics". You pontificate as if the Fleury situation had become the norm for the organization. Stop talking in generalizations. Nobody liked the Fleury situation…ok, we get it. But as if that, or somehow the team is still not a destination for lots of players…(you kind of imply that) is dumb commentary.
Trade eichel to boston which is where he wants to be and they need to replace bergeron, they would pay a hefty price for him.
for a guy that scored 43 in 17-18 season then 23 in 18-19 season and not score past 15 since KARLSSON needs to go . Save the money
Karlsson, Dadonov and Brossoit will all be traded IMO makes the most sense also clears up 13.225 Million in cap space. Then they bring up Brisson and or Dugan to replace them, their young raw prospects but its an affordable decision (or cheap FA signings, maybe bring cousins back for 1 yr 1 mil?) and also resign the UFA/RFAs, then role Lehner and Thompson in net 50/50, Lehner isnt good enough to lead the show but showed promise when splitting the load.

I'm going to guess they will be starting the season with Stone on LTIR. Also they will be manipulating LTIR next season too. All other teams will be cap compliance but the Knights get special treatment from the league. I heard Trotz in Winnipeg because of his family. Good luck to any Coach wanting to take on the Knights.
I hope Vegas misses the playoffs again next year and goes into a full blown rebuild that will last a decade. Then we will see who the fans really are.
The management in Vegas includes a core from Manitoba..some of the players as well..so would not surprise if Trotz opts for desert living here. It is a comfortable place to live.
