Think this is the best hockey we've ever seen. Early 2000s to 2010 is the best blend of skill and talent while the nhl still had relevance. Also the goalies level of skill jumped up from the 90s to the 2000s

Frederick Oulason was actually the first off season aquisition and was totally underatted. This guy played great all year paired with Lidstrom just like in the Olympics and played even better in the playoffs scoring some of the biggest goals of the playoffs.
It was only fitting they had to play Colorado in the Conference Final that year.
Like Brendan Shanahan said:

Man I haven't seen this in years. I have to say, the pacing of this is garbage. It can't hold a candle to how they put the 97 video together. It feels like they rushed through everything on this one. It's still nice to relive this team.
Red wings fan here. Arturs Irbe is awesome. This man was unreal. Some scores without him.. i'm sure would look silly 5 or 6 goals for redwings. I honestly think he was the MVP on the series.
How did Dats succed to be part of that team with best players in every position!
