  1. Campbell not proven at all. Looks great but its a dangerous situation in terms of making the right calls/moves. He's just not proven.

  2. Anderson hasn't played consistent hockey this year, or either of the last two seasons, and he's never been consistent in the playoffs…. he can be excellent one game and then very mediocre the next. I think the management knows they can't count on Freddy in the big, must win games anymore. Also, it seems like the team plays with more intensity and confidence in front of Soup and Hutch. I think Anderson's stock has been falling for a couple seasons and he likely won't be back in a Leafs jersey next year.

  3. Jack Campbell has been human for games 11 & 12. Just human. The talking heads would be mute if not for hyperbole. The honeymoon is over and I need a larger sample size. I am in no way detracting from his performance, but I WILL detract from the piss poor effort his team showed against the Habs. They had a chance to strike while the iron was hot, effectively discouraging the Habs, but failed miserably.

  4. Pretty sad after Campbell wins a nhl record in wins, and learnt how to win in a championship kings team backing up quick..u right him off because of the price n hellabucks lmao..u guys lost your edge..it sad really we have 3 nhl starting goalies n the highest most deadliest sniper n passer in the game in Matthew n Marner ..let me guess u don't like joe either cause he's old..or is he a over skilled veteran! look in the mirror ..the bandwagon full .. trying to enjoy the pride being a leaf fan is real not fake. .When they sip the cup it taste better if u always believed from the start!….i edit my lines just like Dubas did on trade deadline!

  5. Perhaps Freddy's injury is worse than advertised. Anderson > Rittich. Rittich's career has been on a steep decline from the moment he did the stick flip in the BOA last season. IMO, Soup > Freddy > Hutch > Rittich.

The problem is Soup and Freddy are often injured. As they say about goalies. One thing more important than ability is availability.

  6. As a Leafs fan, I can flat out tell the truth of what's going on. Leafs management simply are saying Andersen is injured just so they could place him on LTIR so they could bolster their lineup during trade deadline. Andersen has been good to go for a while now but they pulled a smooth sneaky move by acting like hes still injured lol slick Dubas real slick haha

  7. Campbells lack of playoff experience isn't an issue to me. Binnington, Ward, and a long line of others were in the same boat. Campbells fine this year. However, he wont be the #1 guy goalie long term. Whoever that will be, he isn't currently on the team.

  8. The 1st crack I saw in Campbell was on the Anderson top corner goal last night. Nick was actually the hockey coach of my goalie son at Primary School when he was in Grade 4 and Nick's son was in Grade 6 – so I've lived the life of raising a goalie to make this comment. There are 3 rules driven into goalies: 1) never under, 2) never through, 3) never behind (short side). When a Right Hand Shot comes down the Right Wing, it is an unforgivable mistake to give the shooter the short side top corner – you have to make him shoot to the far post. That goal was brutal – it showed for the 1st time, under some pressure, that Jack didn't know where he was – i.e. the situation made him nervous. Until this goal, most of what I saw from Campbell was pretty good – I like the deeper in the net style where he just doesn't get caught out like Freddy way out in the white ice swimming on his stomach. I would give Jack at least 2/3rds of the rest of the games to get him game-hardened – and then you can just hope it works out.

  9. starter anderson back up campbell back ups back up hutchison back ups back ups backup rittich oof

  10. Can't have confidence in a goalie that doesn't have confidence in himself.

  11. i think the media is getting worked up again over two close losses. Campbell can Pull a Binnington and be surprisingly hot in playoffs, there are other situations too like Tampa Bay who got swept the year before by Columbus, wins the cup the very next year. Can we just be happy that the leafs have 4 goalies to choose from? is anyone ever happy with our best roster the leafs have had since probably when they were cup winners, and that "magical 1993 year losing in round 3" lets face it, this is the teams current best shot, be happy we have a contending team, leafs were a disaster before this.
