Who is the most overrated team in the NHL? 🤔
Toronto, Tampa and Florida are still better but I disagree about Boston being ahead of Ottawa still, the Sens have a much faster team than the Bruins now and more scoring depth as well.
Sens fan here. Is my concern justified? DJ Smith, can he coach this team into the playoffs this coming here? I am a little concerned. and worried.

What the hell is this video. Before camps even start the question of most overrated team? Define overrated, no legitimate source is picking the Sens to go far in the east. They have a chance to make playoffs, that's about it.

No-one continuously over hypes a team more than Leafs fans. Reminder, Sens went well past the Leafs in the 2017 in the playoffs which is the first year Leafs actually made the playoffs in some time (2005 through 2016 Leafs only made the playoffs once) Yes, the last 5 years have been tough to be Sens fan, especially with the impact of Covid and injuries during the last 2 season. Buckle up though, no team's point totals will be as high as in the last 3 seasons with Buffalo and Detroit also progressing through their rebuild.

The Sens have 2 years (not 1) with DeBrincat and he's a RFA, That allows the Sens an extra year to see how DeBrincat fits in with the team.
So are the Sens overrated?
I would say most Sens fans expect the team to either (a) be competitive until the end of the season but miss the playoffs or (b) to make the wildcard playoffs. If they do just that then they have been rated about right. If they have a season like they did last year then indeed they would have been overrated. We will see.

I mean i don't know how a team that has been a dumpster fire for 5 years can be overrated when all they've done is improve for the upcoming season. I get what you're saying but the line of reasoning is a bit bizarre. You went from " The fans should be excited" to " they're a bit overrated because they're going to miss the playoffs" without really explaining how the acquisitions don't inch them towards the playoffs, or pass the threshold. You simultaneously claim fans have reason to be excited and they're overrated. Saying a team is overrated is essentially claiming that the fans have excitement where there shouldn't be. Which is a complete paradox.
Bit of a hack job here if I'm being honest. Define how they're rated and then explain what makes them overrated for a little credibility. Also do your research and be prepared so you know what you're talking about. Lastly, you just said Nylander is better than any Senator?
