    They got a lot of calls from the refs and were the darlings for most of the announcers they have a talented team and I am truly happy for their fans. Did. Kucherov win the. Bill. Barber. Embellishment. Cup? I give the management kudos for an eye for talent and shrewd trades and aquisitions congrats now the dreaded salary cap comes which should be raised for all teams good luck

    Oh they mean legit won without Calgary’s disallowed unseen goal that would have resulted in a home ice cup win for Calgary.

    How did it happen? Easy, 1st a global pandemic happened, then the players got 5 months of rest, got to play play a round robin which was almost meaningless and used it to get the rust off, they played playoff hockey with no fans which means no pressure so there’s no such thing as home ice advantage and the covid playoffs was like playing the 1st 20 games of a regular season. Then when u have a talented roster like that not worn down ofc they gonna win it all. Covid playoffs doesn’t mean anything, if anything it gave a false representation of how good or bad teams really are. Teams like the isles or Canadians for example both were about to miss the playoffs in the normal season but then covid saved them. And then they played teams that would’ve smoked them if covid never existed but since starting up a new season practically it ruined teams momentum like the flyers and rangers and they didn’t look the same in the bubble like they did in the normal season….. let’s not ignore who was about to make and miss the playoffs in the normal season cause that’s what tells the story of how good teams really r meaning teams that r good will be able to reach the top while be worn down after playing an 82 game season….. covid playoffs was a gift from the NHL so we can have playoff hockey but like I said we didn’t see teams who were actually legit or not we just saw a few teams that lost to teams shittier than them cause of ruined momentum due to the pause. Covid playoffs didnt mean anything and really never did unless it was the cup final maybe but I’m really talking about the teams that won a series or 2 that were actually gonna miss the playoffs in a normal season……. time to look foward and hopefully get a normal season soon so we can watch real hockey and none of this bs where we have no fans to give off energy and excitement…… that’s where we can actually judge how good or bad teams really r……

    Feels good to finally have the cup back here. It’s funny our best team plays hockey. They without a doubt have the most loyal fanbase here. Even when it’s not a good season games are always packed. I always see lightning flags, hats, and shirts.

    It IS interesting you didn't do this for the 2004 Stanltey Cup.
    As the answer was 'If Cory Stillman wasn't with the Lightning, they wouldn't have had close to the number of man games lost due to injury in both the season AND playoffs.
    And that's it. One player consistently on their IR, made the consistency of the roster a BIG deal compared to the rest of the league.

    But calling this the ''toughest' playoffs in the NHL, is ignoring that Tampa didn't play in the 'play-in round'. and going five OT's only made things harder for Columbus to beat Tampa in the first round.
