Les Maple Leafs de Toronto pourraient ne plus JAMAIS GAGNER. Voici POURQUOI. (HOCKEY LNH)

  1. I am surprised that colour video footage exists with the Leafs and the Cup.

  2. Well considering no Canadian team has won the cup for 29 years and counting, looks like the entire country is cursed. Next video – talk about Vancouver's 52 years of losing (not to mention not being able to hold on to their NBA team) or Winnipeg and not being able to hold on to their 1st NHL team and no cups with either Jets Mach I or Mach II. Plenty of losing to go around – haven't even mentioned the biggest losers of all, Ottawa. Toronto gets every team's A-Game, especially in the PO. And examples like Kadri? Well he became a liability to the Leafs – suspended 2 years in a row, earned a reputation as a diver, was never getting the call as long as he wore the Blue & White. Yeah sure Toronto's cursed with being the best fan base in all of hockey.

  3. The Leafs have lost to Stanley Cup finalists the past two years, being the only team in the East to take them to 7 games.

The Leafs have the best player along with a great cast of depth. Our defence has never looked this solid in my lifetime as a Leafs fan.

In the past 30 years, we have not had a team this deadly. We just got rid of two goalies that could not win us an important game when the team needed them to stand on their head. We have improved year after year since Kyle took over.

  4. Too say that the Leafs will never win a cup again is a bit extreme. The cubs had a 100 year drought without a world series championship then they won it. The St. Louis blues went 55 years before winning, Chicago same thing. Red wings up until 97 had a 50 year drought eventually everything will align and they will win. Now the pressure side makes sense because he is right it is probably the highest in the NHL but at some point they will make a finals appearance and win a chip. Thats sports. I dont believe in curses.

  5. Maybe Don Cherry's screaming voice too. "FINNS, SWEDES, RUSSIANS!!!! WHAT IS THIS?!!!!" "You know how many Canadians the Leafs drafted?! Zero!"

  6. Sonweird how leafblowers in the comments always think they have a good team anyways even though they never will.

  7. Been watching since 1980. Thought they might get one in the late 90s early 2000. Now? Never. Not a chance.

  8. The Rangers were able to end their 54 year drought with Mark Messier. A proven winner who was able to handle the pressure. Maybe the Leafs should make a run to get either Toews or Kane.

  9. Pressure? Pressure is a dad trying to feed his kids. We just want these guys to show some balls every now and then.

  10. The crazy thing is the team that Tampa put out in the first round was probably the best Leaf team ever. That nice tying goal Tavares put in only to have it called back cause of a bone headed penalty away from the play at the same time could very well have been the difference in going on to the second round. Once they get over that hump who knows, … but this is a team with enough talent to go all the way. There are also a few other teams in that same category. A lucky bounce here or an unlucky bounce there changes everything.

  11. One word: Toxic. Can’t prosper in a toxic space. Matthews will prove this when he wins a cup after leaving Toronto.

  12. As much as The hockey community makes fun of the leafs I couldn’t imagine being under that microscope as a player..

  13. Well that's another 9 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Problem is ownership accepts losing because they always make money, that's not a sports franchise that's a Bank.
Fans pay to watch them lose and then lose some more. Stop feeding the Bankers.

  14. cursed with dubas stupid deals. where is the goalie? still need some defence and why is simmonds taking up space? screwing around with sandin for what? the nightmare continues

  15. Good video bro 👌
I honestly don't know how I'm still a fan for 30 years of the leafs suffering year after year, I don't believe in curses either but I also don't believe in hockey gods, I'm sure u kno y
This era has been the most frustrating/unique I've ever seen…the 2017 loss to Washington was fine bc nobody expected them to even make the playoffs that year.
They could of beat Boston at least 1 of the years they faced them but they ran out of luck..don't know what wrong there tbh.
The most frustrating/pathetic of them all was the Habs 💯 and I put a lot of blame on the coaching/management. Yes Keefe could of only done so much if ur star players don't show up but clearly the turning point was game 5 where they let the Habs dig out of the hole, why? The management decisions they made with all that depth they decided to play a washed up Thornton over a solid shut down centre Riley Nash? Playing a rookie sandin who was hurt all season over dermott? Game 4 the leafs shut them down 4-0, why in game 5 make line up changes? If u just won 3 in a row in the playoffs clearly you're doing something right?! Sure enough sandin costs the leafs 3 turnovers in game 5 to bury themselves 3-0 early, all bc Keefe scratched dermott for sandin for whatever reason 🤦‍♂️ they always find ways to beat themselves! The lightning series I wasn't ashamed at all bc they played their hearts out and got screwed by very poor/soft officiating. Oh well, thx for reading my frustrations bro keep your page going! 👊

  16. I laughed when they made that leafsnet documentary in 2021
    Thinking it was there year
Just to get owned by the Habs games 5, 6, 7

  17. The Laffs problem has nothing to do with the fans or Hal. It has everything to do with the ownership and management group. Last year they signed an injury prone Marazk . That did not work out so they let Campbell go and traded for a goalie that is coming out of a long post concussion. They sign older players because they do not have the cap room for anything else.
The ownership group knows that they hve the guaranteed money so why the big contracts. One thing Hal said was "Why should I pay for high end talent when the seats are all full and there is a backlog of people wanting tickets. Will it make me more money?"
Management decions name the last time the Laffs draftred and developed a goot goalie that stayed with them.

  18. It was Ballard… now it’s just greed, top down. MLSE wants more money, and the star players want top dollar.

I get it, to play for fans like myself… I would want top dollar too.

Until they level the salaries they will remain a contender instead of a champion.

  19. Been saying this for years! But the Leafs underachieving sells. Combine that with Rogers and Bell who own the NHL rights in Canada respectively paying Sportsnet and TSN to constantly scrutinize them and broadcast it to the hockey world creates an inescapable feedback loop that screws this team harder and harder. This isn't Dubas' fault; in fact, he's better than every other salary cap era Leafs GM! And I don't really like the guy either but it's true. Dubas is trying his best.

The Leafs' sole purpose of existence is to suffer for the growth of the game. This team will never win because them winning is legitimately bad for hockey media. Suddenly all the bad talk goes away because it doesn't matter anymore. This team needs to suffer or else the NHL fails!

  20. Why do they always miss the most important stat…..THE LEAFS HAVEN'T MADE IT TO THE FINAL SINCE 1967. Other sports clubs have gone decades without a championship but they probably played in one along the way.

  21. The Leafs haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1967 because they haven't had a team good enough to win it. It's never been about the pressure, that's just an excuse.

  22. Leafs biggest problem is the media over hype and coverage . Fish in a bowl and it can destroy you and pressure you as a player.

  23. So does the Leafs need a rebuild? The Leafs remind me of the Knights always trying to get players- example Patrick Kane.
If the Leafs don't have the players now which based on Cap Friendly some of them are over valued. I always compared them to the Avs not getting out of the second round. Is it the locker room, coaches, does the players not give 100 %. I think who are the leaders in the locker room? You talk about the environment- look at the Avs after the 48 point season. I don't think the Leafs are cursed, I think the President's Trophy is cursed.

  24. You don't award huge contracts to players who HAVE NOT WON & underperform in the playoffs–cap mismanagement is why they WON'T win .

  25. If we go beyond the Maple Leafs, and move forward to all Canadian teams; ever since Gary Bettman took control of the NHL, NOT ONE Canadian team has won a cup.

  26. Honestly, i find joy in seeing Toronto fall in the first round. But… To put the 50+ year drought as a pressure thing is just stupid. This guy's haven't played for 10 years even of that drought

  27. No struggling here Toronto best team in the world!!!!! Go leafs go!!!!!

  28. Its a little bit of everything. The pressure of the Team and what comes with that, the greed and impatience from management, fans. Top guys wanting as much money as possible.
And I know Auston can do it, or i atleast have way more confidence that he can play through it all and find success.

I'm way less confident that Mitch can. The pressure destroys him, everytime. He becomes a shell of himself.i dont know if it's because of being a hometown kid, so he knows the feeling of watching his team fail, so He takes the big losses and doesn't get over it and lets it simmer as other guys brush it off and move on?
He seems like the playoff pressure to wanna be better and be THE guy to take them out of the first round, overthinking to the point where he wasn't even making a normal pass, let alone a mitch marner pass.

And its easy to tell them to forget the outside noise and stay off social media and just keep grinding. Some guys are built different.
I just hope maturity and experienced pain can help them as a unit. They were so close last season against Tampa. It felt different, like the entire vibe around the team.
i hope to God they dont lose that this season upcoming because that's a healthier mindset for success and they looked so much happier and less stressed

  29. Great teams don’t pay 11-12 mill to flashy rookies who had half a good season. Nylander, Marner and Matthews should only have got 3-6 mill respectively so as to keep the great team together that allowed them to shine in the first place. They have terrible, selfish attitudes and would not fit in with a winning group of equals, which is why they play here in Toronto. Additionally, Tavares is only a 6 mill player who also got 12 mill. These players are responsible for diminishing the depth of what could have been the first dynasty level team in Canada since Gretzky’s oilers. Ottawa just screwed themselves the same way this week signing Stutzle to 8.3 mill. Winning teams give rookies bridge deals and make them earn the veteran salaries before they make such ridiculous deals. Unfortunately head office runs the Leafs through people like Shannahan and Burke who worked at head office right before taking over Toronto. It’s a terrible organization to be a fan of because of this.

  30. I do believe the pressure of that market is a big factor. In addition, if you look at the three first round exits commonly referred to (2013, 2021,2022), they lost to Rask, Price, and Vasilevskiy – three of the best goalies in the world.

I know Dubas wasn't around in 2013; but for the more recent years, I've wondered if his hiring wasn't the best idea for that market. Hiring a young numbers guy wasn't a big risk in Arizona; no one cares. But for essentially the New York Yankees of the NHL to partake in the same experiment seems risky.

The players' agents have taken him to the cleaners, while other GM's get players to sign team-friendly deals (look at Bergeron and Marchand in Boston). As a result, the Leafs are a top-heavy team with the clock ticking on their core, entering yet another season with question marks at the goalie position.

  31. Here's the problem, Ballard said when he owned the team " as long as the gardens is full I don't care about the cup. That comment still stands today. The ownership won't win if people keep filling Scotia place.nstop going to games and you watch they will have a better team

  32. I thought it ironic a couple years back when Columbus (and all 75 of their fans) beat them in the play-in round. Here's a team that is partially funded through revenue sharing by Leafs $$ and they showed the Leafs the door.
