One big problem-I don't see any players from Montreal that the Jets could consider a fair trade, or even really any players they want.
Well lets look at this from a "Reality" here. if Tavares can walk home? if Jonny Gudreau can walk homish? and now Calgary has an issue with Tkachuk? Montreal like all Canadien teams have a hard problem with Players coming.. PLD played in 2 not so hot beds of Hockey , sorry Winnipeg, your not a destination , Montreal has issues – like the language and taxes .. if PLD is stating he wants to come… Winnipeg has no leverage, your going to lose him for nothing ??. so be lucky to get Dvorack, who is decent 2nd line center , Hoffman who can score and a prospect…. cause you will get nothing in a year or so…. Player is not spoiled…. like all players these days… they have leverage…. so like it or not… its the sign of times… he is not the 1st to do this… wont be the last…. and it wont be josh anderson, Suzuki, etc all the Habs have to do is wait !!

Want to go further? Look at the Evander Kane, Patrik Laine, Jocob Trouba trade. Winnipeg got good returns for those players. Much better than what is on the table from Montreal.
Winnipeg will not trade for Anderson, Dvorak, Gallagher, or any player that has salary that Montreal wants to shed.
Good luck signing Dubois in 2 years. Make sure you leave some cap space for Caufield Guhle, Slafkovsky, and Bedard if you are lucky enough to land him.
