    What people do not see with the Kings is that they have several players that can elevate their game to the next level in any year now: like Kempe, Vilardi, Bjornfot, Clague ( this guy can be very good if given regular playing time), Lias Andersson, Wagner, Frk…..all these guys are only going to get better. Not to mention 3 blue chip prospects that can become NHL regulars this year: Byfield, Turcotte, Kailev….. they have "Surprise team" written all over them

    If any one of these guys takes their game to the next level this team can be better than both the Oilers and Canucks when you add in Arvidsson, Danault, good rookie year from Byfield/ Turcotte

    If the Kings can make a Playoff push then be seller's at the deadline one more year and stack the best prospect pipeline in the NHL get a goalie and a big time elite goal scorer! They will have a decade of success here after a season or two as the pipeline matures!

    "danault coming off a hard year". One of the best two-way forwards throughout the season and the best two-way forward in the playoffs being easily the second biggest reason Montreal got to the finals as Danault shut down the likes of Matthews, Marner, Stone, Wheeler etc etc etc. That is not a down year unless your one of those people who think LA got him for his points. He will also give Kopitar a break which will be massive.

    Mostly good takes, but you're way off on your defensive takes. The young defensemen have struggled largely because of awful wingers on lines 2-4 last season. Getting rid of MacDermid and not using Maatta in a top 4 roll is an immediate huge improvement. Danault and Arvidsson replacing Luff and Amadio is a massive improvement. Good takes on the younger players, Cal Petersen. Kaliyev is probably the closest to making a big impact on the Kings, but Byfield and Turcotte are there too.

    With the upward trajectory Kings and Sens barring any major catastrophe I think are bound to meet during SC in the near future.

    Well ,this didn’t age well, a week in and we look absolutely awful, terrible Power Play and Penalty Kill and below average goaltending.
    Still only one player (Kopitar) that can score goals and very loose defence. It’s early yes, but so far we look worse than last year..
