Somebody tell me how 7 coaches have been fired, and none of them are Lindy Ruff
Oilers can't even make the playoffs in the easiest division, just scrap the team and start over
Jay made the lines what they’re supposed to be
This one is easy dubas will sign Tipp in the off season to a team friendly hometown discount contract of 8 years 11 million per year!!! Book it!!!
Oilers have no D and no goal tending. What do people expect. 🤔 I like the oilers. But they are far from contenders. Unless they happen to hit a Cinderella run.
I think Leon and Connor should go to the same sports psychologist as Mackinnon. Seemed to help him.
Why is it everyone on the planet except for Ken Holland know the Oilers need better goaltending? Wound up costing Tippett his job, as he was the sacrificial lamb providing cover to Holland's screw ups. Varlamov from the Islanders is available for the right price. Find a way to get rid of Koskanin's contract, either separately, or part of the deal, and get it done. Oilers will not make the playoffs with their current goaltending. Holland needs to take off the rose coloured glasses, and actually do something meaningful to stop the freefall.
I think Leon and Connor should just go ahead and request a trade lmfao
Both Tippet and Mclellan had similar problems with the Oilers.
-Not balancing the minutes for every lineups/players
-Over played McD/Drai
-Not giving enough ice time for bottom 6 forwards to develop defense, despite lacking scoring depth.
-Changing the lineups every second freaking game, rather than giving them at least 5 games to develop chemistry.
-Didn't give the second special team unit enough ice time on the power play when ever the Oilers were already up a goal or two. Why over play your top unit special team on the power play if you're already up a goal or two, instead of passing it over to your second unit special team to develop scoring depth ?
Its not that the roster weren't good enough. It's that the roster just simply wasn't built for the coaches style of game
