Brodeur was something else. And to think he was only 22 here. He also really got into the habit of laying the paddle down anytime the puck was near the net after this series too.
Brodeur was a few big saves away from 5 and possibly 6 cups

I will never forget game 7. Just got off the game 6 win,the Messier guarantee. Leetch made a beautiful move to score the first goal.It look like the Rangers were going to win but the Devils pulled out the goalie and tied the game with 7.8 seconds. I was devasted. I went for a long walk. My brother said better luck next year. My mother said it is just a hockey game.I took an hour walk went back home. This game was too dense for everyone. Up and down both teams had great chances to score,great goal tenting on both sides. It was about midnight my older brother came inside,I saw Tikanen skating towards the net. He passed to Matteau ,he shot from behind the net I saw the puck cross the line,I completely lost it. He scored Matteau,Matteau. My mother laughed,I woke my dad up.I will never forget this game. Thank you Matteau,Messier,Leetch,Richer and the rest of the Rangers.This was the greatest game I saw in my life. A Swedish gentleman at work said the same. God bless the New York Rangers1994.Lets see another cup soon we are all getting older.

Mike richter should have been ejected from this game and not allowed to play in overtime. Players aren’t allowed to body check the referee.

This year was the greatest playoff year. Vancouver had their epic against Calgary, being down 3-1 and winning 3 straight OT, with game 7 in double OT. Then the finals was the ultimate classic

Imagine the rangers lost this game because the refs blew a quick whistle with 24 seconds and richter was playing the puck. They had full possession and easily would have gotten it out.
