9 mil not enough to sign Naz?!?! That's crazy. You think he's going to get close to 9 per? Doubtful. He goes at 5 or 6 years at 7mil per …THE MOST! we would totally be destroying our future by signing a 32 year old at 9 mil long term.

Kadri is the player no one asked for in a position we dont need..pick up patrick kane for 3 years at 6 per…add a mid-tier defenseman to pair with mayfield and call it a day..drop bailey off at the nearest airport if you can

I enjoy your show! I don’t want Kadri long term but he does make us. Playoff team with Barzie on the wing and with the addition of Romonov and Minus the two mummies on D—-this is a tough team to play against. I’d rather trade Beau for Tarasenko-Blues want a top 6 and would be foolish to not accept a young player for a guy they will lose regardless. Beau is way better than a mid range number 1 pick. Varly? He already negated a trade to the Oilers because of his 16 team no trade clause. Bailey? I’d add a sweetener to get rid of him—-he’s a waste of a roster spot. Would Lou trade Whally and or Bellows—yes he would because he has Ratty and Dufor in the near horizon. Look Isles fans—-if Lou signs Kadri to more than 4 years—-he needs to be key go at the end of the year. Lou has had his day. Need a pro-active younger Gm and it CANT be Lou’s son—-No Way! I don’t believe in having literally 10m in net—-it’s almost like Lou can’t let him go——no offense—-Varly was injured early last season and that’s what happens to aging netminders. Tarasenko should have been the tip target this off-season. Why? Isles we’re in his top 5 list to get traded to. Might be one of the few top players that want to come to the Island. I’d rather take my chances with a star that’s healthy again. What would I do? Trade Beau, Bailey and Varly—-bring in Tarasenho for Barzie and leave Kadri alone——sign Barzal ———Lastly, give Ratty and Dufor a 9 game look and see what happens—-yea ya burn a year but you can catch lightning in a bottle all the same.
I wouldn't mind kadri but the price has to be right. If we can dump bailey and manage to resign everyone who is pending rfa I wouldn't be against it.
Nazem & Sonny might be signed by Lou, I think Bellows will be traded along with Bailey and ( a possibility JGP) freeing up over $10 mil. in cap space.
Dobson will be $5m and Romanov $3.5m for $8.5m plus Bellows $1.1m (No raise) will be total of $9.6m leaving only $1.5m cap space. Beauvillier is almost $1m less than Bailey, every million cap clear counts. It’s too tight even if you stretch Kadri 7 years. And you’re talking about Lamorello will be the last GM to add sweetner to dump Bailey $5m and would want full trade value for Beauvillier. I’m not seeing Lamorello as the man who is willing to do what it takes to clear necessary cap. Kadri may of been given a number but eventually, his agent will have to advise him, we better move to another teams lower offer. Maybe go Klingberg route on a one year show me contract.

I think you’re looking at giving draft picks to get rid of Bailey, and getting draft picks back in return for beau.
I think Dobson gets signed to 5.5-6 mil
And Romanov gets signed to 2.5-3 mil
Which would leave the islanders with 2 million, and don’t forget you have to resign Barzal next year. I can’t imagine Kadri gets more then 7.
Drafting Räty then signing him then signing Kadri long term makes zero sense when they alo have Barzal unless someone moves to the wing.
