La ferme de la famille Sutter – à environ 15 minutes au nord-est de Viking, en Alberta et où, à la fin de chaque saison de hockey, vous trouverez l’entraîneur-chef des Flames de Calgary son véritable élément.
I noticed that Darryl has lots of great old classic pics hanging on the walls. He might want to get them all laminated to have them last forever. I still remember that Bobby Hull photo from back in the '60's which was in Life Magazine.
I wanted to see the Flames go all the way…Sutter is the best hockey man out there today…love his no bullshit approach to the media and his coaching style is what the game needs more of these days.
Interesting for me. Daryl and I had a chat at a fuel station and I was hauling hay. He walked up to me, discussed the load of hay and then he was spotted by the others and they pounced on him. Pretty good memory.
As an Oiler fan, I am surprised this was even on my recommended videos. However, I'm glad it was. Just don't expect me watching any more Flames videos.
I really warmed to the connection to family and the history of the buildings around him … I see many of the things in my life the same way. What a great soul …. God has given him so much !
Such a joy to listen to a good ol farm boy. I'm one myself, I consider it a compliment when my customers call me farm boy electric. Thanks for keeping it real Darryl, here's to your farm being in your family for another century. Our (SK) farm celebrated 1 century in 2005, doubt if it will make another. TOG out!!
The video was insightful, endearing, and inspiring – just like his coaching style.
Just finished watching another vid where a man asked Sutter if he was "expecting something special" out of Pelletier. He scoffed at the word (special) and said bluntly, "No." And then left it without further explanation.
No wonder this man is coach of the year. Bring it home, Darryl!

Hockey aside, Mr. Sutter is a good man. We need more men like him today. ..and yes we absolutely need to educate many about farming !
It's nice to hear Darryl reminisce, seems like he had a good relationship with his dad

The best coach in NHL history
Educate people on where their food comes from.
We could have used that over the past couple years
