No way no how
yes he will be sens top dman eventually
I mean imo he has the potential to be Ottawa's #1 Dman. Norris caliber.
Drysdale not Clarke*
I have no idea. I've seen a few clips,, which doesn't mean much. Fortunately, the Sens scouts think he should be able to make the team. That's pretty good. I've never heard of a "franchise prospect." It's like two words that don't go together.
This kid is a stud. He’s going to be in all the Norris talk in a couple years.
With chabot he will quickly become a top Dman on the sens and easily be able to produce big time points with the fun and young sens team, they will have many many years to become very successful as a team and I could see Sanderson becoming a power house in the NHL
He’s going through rookie camp as a RD as well so if that continues into the season I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chabot-Sanderson as our top pairing
It wasn't Clarke in the 2020 draft. It was Drysdale who got picked right after Sanderson
Maybe like Doughty? I think he can be that player. Man team this is a must watch this season. They will have good veterans playing with star kids. Could surprise a lot of people.
He may be an x-factor for the Sens to make the playoffs. Here's hoping he can bump out Zaitsev
I don’t think he will be as good offensively as Cale Makar but I think he will be in that tier. American Scott Niedermayer comes to mind for Sanderson
Get ready for a productive season boys !!! Go sens go baby 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️🔴
I remember at the time, a lot of people were up in arms because the Sens went off the board a bit to select him (Ahead of Drysdale, and Ottawa 67's Rossi). The Hockey Guy during his stream even said "Good Luck with that" after he was picked.
I have come to the conclusion that Ottawa's scouting staff knows what they are doing and how their prospects turn out is a strong indication of that, but I certainly don't have him penciled in as a franchise player. I see him more as a quality top 4 option that can help take the pressure off Chabot. If he becomes more? Fantastic.
It's too early to say. Makar wasn't expected to be a franchise player type of dman, but he sure is now. Circle back in two years and we'll have a better idea about Sanderson
No, just absolutely not.
This team is coming together fast. How soon can the Sens win the cup ?
Sanderson is really going to add to this team in the next few years.
Has the ceiling of a franchise player, most likely a solid top 4
Sanderson is an elite Dman. Been watching this kid for a few years now and I think he’s going to be a superstar. A complete package. Elite defensively, elite skater, elite offensively… The sky is the limit for this kid. The Ottawa Senators are going to be a nightmare to play against going forward. Truly believe he has the potential to be the best defenceman in the league for many years to come. Many people sleeping on this kid offensively should know beat Cale Makar‘s ppg record last year. Looking forward to watching him play.
Idk if he's a franchise prospect, but he will be downright elite and a top pairing defender for the Sens at some point in his career. Best PPG in the NCAA, for a defenseman this season very hard to beat one-on-one defensively and skating is ridiculously elite
If Sanderson was a Vancouver prospect you would think he was a franchise player.
he takes me as a EK65 type player i dont think he'll be as good as prime karlsson but i think he'll be pretty close
His floor is Ryan Ellis, ceiling makar. He’s been a captain on the USNDP team, he dominated(literally bullied) in college as a 19 year old(some guys are 25). He’s insanely talented and developed, watch his highlights. My actual concern for him is that as the last piece of the sens rebuild, he doesn’t fit in. He can’t be the number one dman as chabot is there. He can’t be the captain as Brady is there. He’s always been so dominant and thrust in to the lime light that I’m worried him being a “support” piece will dissuade him from becoming his absolute best. You also mentioned franchise player. Who do you think is the sens franchise player? They have so many.
If you have two players that would be "franchise" players on different teams, on the same team, they're still "franchise" players.
Yes, he is potentially. This is a defenseman who is seemingly a lock to make our roster out of his first camp. That puts him into elite company, at least at this point. That's his potential, whether he reaches it is another subject.
best prospect in the nhl
