Even as an Avs fan, based solely on what was shown here that 4th Rangers looked like it crossed, just barely though. Not that the outcome of the game would have changed, because once the Avs decide to stop playing around, it's over.
I think it's overlooked what BOTH of these goal minders did tonight. Yeah, a couple of seeing eye shots bounced off Dmen for a score for each club, but other than that, both of these goalkeepers stood on their heads tonight. Truly a spectacle. I can't say it enough, great game!
I'll be honest, the Avs got lucky, or the Islanders got unlucky, however you want to see it. We'll still take the win, but I don't know if we "deserved" it. GG Isles.
Kuemper was a little off tn but great dub still, BUT PLSS start getting it out of the zone better and lock the defense down its a little concerning since it has been a few games now
Avs talent continues to overcompensate for some sloppy, lazy play. Or, maybe because they know they're talented, they take too many chances. There may not be a team in the west that can stop them, but a disciplined team high effort team like Carolina may be their undoing.

Definitely a fourth goal for Islanders there… Seems easier to score on Colorado than teams in the East. Won't see just how good they are for a while yet. I'm praying for an all Canadian final this year, which means Carolina, Tampa, Florida and Colorado need to fall off a bit…. Cos they all look pretty good to me.
You can see the puck cross the line even in this replay the next day. I mean how do you overturn a good goal particularly when you can see the white of ice between the puck and the line lol. On the bright side, I want the islanders to lose this season so they can draft high.
I love the fire power that the Avalanche has. BUT, I don't give them much of a chance to win the Stanley Cup. You can't win without goal tending, and they don't have it. Sure they can score in bunches, because they have to. They shouldn't have to keep coming back. It's the regular season, everything tightens up in the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong. I'll be cheering for them in the playoffs. I'm just not that confident in their ability to shut down their opponents.
As an Islanders fan, I’m obviously pissed we lost. I had a feeling we wouldn’t win because it’s the Avs. I would’ve been fine with losing in OT or being outplayed. But the fact that we lost because of an overturned goal… (alongside a lot of missed calls) I’m pissed.

Feel like both Kuemper and Francouz have big-save potential but also let in some soft goals and give huge rebounds. Good to get the W though.
