The Avs have clinched a playoff spot.
The penguins are average at best this year, only two lines that can score, and defensive players that are average at best. Malkin turns over the puck like he's trying to get an award for it ave other than Crosby, Rust and Guetzal, there isn't much to the penguins. They are slower than all the top teams. It's time for the transition from old to new for the aging penguins.

Many teams don’t have a single player who can truly create their own goal. The Avalanche have what seems like an entire roster! Even when I feel hopeful about my team making a run, I see the Avs on Red Bull playing downhill. What a collection of talented skill!
Jarry still makes himself too small in net. He hunches forward and really gives up a lot more net than if he would keep his torso at a 90 degree angle to the ice. Some of those goals I don't the sole blame on him, but he is suffering from the Matt Murray technique.

Rebound control will destroy Darcy and the Avs hopes in the playoffs, or, at least be a major factor or thorn in side during playoffs with how he can seemingly most times be able to catch the shots with is glove (should’ve read the streaking player on that first goal coming on his far side which got the goal) he didn’t bat it down with his glove at least which probably wouldve saved this goal but decided to literally kick (unnecessarily) almost passing it to the player who scored. I get the shot could’ve been perhaps a pass because the play was set to low shoot pad to get that juicy rebound “pass” to my boy for a one timer and that type of mentality shooting against Darcy proves to be getting goals for the opposing teams yes? Like how many goals time and time again even in big games or when we have leads he just doesn’t have that rebound control and yes he is good at scrambling down low one of his strengths but it’s his strength because of his greatest weakness in rebound control. So many times I’ve heard announcers night in night out say either on the home or away broadcast “oh actually looks like he didn’t glove it he kinda got the bottom part of the glove on it and just batted it downwards” sometimes actually causing that scramble and scoring opportunity for the opposition. He needs to tighten up his rebound control. He’s been so much better about being square and being aware perfectly of positioning high and low within his crease and out on challenges. Get that rebound control under control and you have one of the best goalies on ice right now with how better defensively the Avs have been playing and developing. Tighten up and come playoff time we can score the 4-5 a night we know we can and if Darcy and them rebounds get taken care of it’ll be hard for most teams to score multiple goals on us on our best nights you know. Sorry for the rant I’m kinda stoned Go Avs Go boys

As a Golden Knights fan, I’m rootin for the Avs in the playoffs! Unfortunately I think my team’s season is over due to poor goalie play and a multitude of injuries lol. But back to the Avalanche. I mean what a team. Tremendous talent at every position with superb firepower. They look like they have no weakness sometimes. This team might be one of the best hockey teams ever. Lets see how they play come the playoffs.
